I 100% agree with the sale if it’s around 10 million for the reasons you explained. I’m unconvinced he suits how Lampard wants to play. People not understanding his attributes and why other teams may be interested in his services for the kind of sum being spoken about is my only issue!

I think his first touch is largely excellent. His distribution can be a little chaotic, but he makes an attempt at progressing the ball and makes a lot of passes - not going to get them all right!

I kind of feel like he was such a unique player in terms of his mix of attributes, we were never actually going to directly replace him. Also, he has an even bigger gut on him now.

Yep. People reeling out the trope “can’t pass” know nothing. That being said, I would accept that fee and re-invest. He is a little too laid back at times and for the money, I think we could get someone more suited to our high-line.

I still need convincing that Charlie Hughes is a much better option. Granted he is younger and gets stuck in, but Kitching is better with the ball at his feet and still has plenty of time to improve himself.

Do you think Kitching was a panic buy? I think he was one we were watching for a while and he’s generally been pretty good. Sure, there is room for improvement.
