So where is the CCFC football trade?

"Finally, let me stress I have no influence over statements issued by or on behalf of Holdings as they purport to be the company that has run the football club for however long" Does this comment by Appleton in his statement yesterday allude to the facts OSB has outlined?

    Statement from administrator

That's probably how it will pan out, but surely this will just push the problems further down the line with another administration likely in the next 2 years?

Will the trust come out and actively oppose a move away from the Ricoh ?

Yes, but timing is everything. In the main they haven't had to deal with the constraints of FFP. You may be right, but I'd wager that the best case scenario will be rebuilding the club from conference level ala Luton, Oxford and many other former league clubs.

Will the trust come out and actively oppose a move away from the Ricoh ?

2,3 or 5 years, it doesn't matter, it will be long enough to kill off the football club formerly known as Coventry City.

    Pressley wants pacy winger

I think the overall sentiment was correct. He may have had a 'storming' season, but so have other players in League 2 only to fall short at the higher level. Cody McDonald springs to mind. He may well turn out to be an excellent signing, but at this moment in time it's a risk

Planning permission for a new stadium

Tim Fisher has stated that the new stadium will be in the 'Coventry area' which means it's likely to be Warwickshire/Solihull jurisdiction. Whether that improves the odds of getting planning permission is anyone's guess.

    Anyone Bought Us Yet?

Surely the question of who owns the golden share is a red herring. CCFC holdings indisputably hold the brand rights for Coventry City, therefore you can obtain the golden share but you won't have the right to call your football team Coventry City. Or am I missing something ?

    administrator's report

Yes, but surely that's the whole point of this debate. The accounts were prepared by SISU and their associates and are potentially dubious.

    administrator's report

What really irritates me is the Telegraph's complicity with SISU in reporting the £60m figure as fact. The 1st line of their report this morning states: "Paul Appleton will issue his report tomorrow to the High Court in London and creditors of the club, which owes £60million". If they'd...

Petition 4,858 signed (as at 8 pm on 10th May)

Responses can also be sent in via the old fashioned method i.e. paper. Does anyone know how many have been sent in this way ? That should bump up the numbers further.

    Preston Haskell?

I would take that if it meant the club have a clear way forward.

    CCFC trying to gag supporters?

I applaud most of the work Waggott has done since he joined the club, unfortunately it's been implemented 3 years too late when the cause has been lost.

    will we start the season

If they've 'guffed' that many times, no wonder there's a bad smell about the place !

    fair play to the CT

I've posted the link on my facebook page to try and get friends to sign it. If everyone who can does the same it might get some momentum. The Sky Blue Trust should be urging it's member's to do the same.

    fair play to the CT

Signed. This needs to have 10k+ signatures to have the impact required i.e. at least the size of our average home gate.

SISU court papers analysis tomorrows Cov Telegraph

Swansea are in the Prem, are you suggesting we can 'realistically' get back there sooner? Please don't use Southampton as your example, they are the exception, not the rule.

SISU court papers analysis tomorrows Cov Telegraph

Yes, if anyone thinks this is all going to be magically resolved by the time the players return for pre season at the start of July, then they are living in cloud cuckoo land. If it takes next season to sort this out and even if it means the club ends up in League 2, then so be it. We need a...

    Rip acl

I only take issue with one part of your statement. Yes, 10 to 15k currently go to games but there are tens of thousands of others who are passionate about the future of CCFC. I could even put forward an argument that a majority of the remaining population of Coventry, who have very little...

hoffman and elliot meeting with the administrator tomorrow

I don't think it's hatred, most people recognise CCFC have major issues that need to be resolved in order to move forward, however SISU's record over the last 5 years doesn't engender confidence and have burned bridges in almost all directions. It's a bit like a Prime Minister who has lost the...

FFP - 60% includes transfer fees?....

Although on the face of it clubs can get away with paying large transfer fees without sanction, indirectly players commanding a substantial fee are likely to ask for/be paid higher salaries, though I do wonder if a signing on fee would be counted as salary or could it be used to bypass the...
