Hasn't this scenario always been a likely consequence of them not sticking to their own guidelines. Everybody could see that this was likely to unravel big time. Why not them? This stinks and they have been complicit. They only have themselves to blame.

Yep, been thinking - and saying - the same since forever. This was a stitch up that made no financial sense whatsoever for the business going forward. The FL should have jumped all over this. Why didn't they? This caveat - we don't get involved in 3rd party disputes. Bollocks.

But where would that leave the FL? They agreed to the ground share so that club can fulfil fixtures. Their weakness would therefore be seen to have liquidated club.

Sorry, but how can the FL punish the club? ACL are a 3rd party. If they sue the FL they have to deal with it...../its a separate issue though obviously related to the consequence of their own lack of backbone.
