Match Thread Coventry v MK Dons Match Thread - Saturday 26th Nov

It was aimed at both Tudgay and MV....... and sometimes the crowd just want to vent their anger. But it really changed the mood and momentum of city. Doesn't help one bit.

Match Thread Coventry v MK Dons Match Thread - Saturday 26th Nov

Tudgay didn't have his best game today...... but felt there was no need for the cheers by the crowd as he was being substituted. Felt quite bad for him.

    Investment on the Horizon?

Isn't the Hawthorns the highest ground above sea level? Sounds like in 500 years there will be a Gillingham vs WBA premiership.

    Investment on the Horizon?

I think that is the only option. SISU will want to always be about to get some money back. Maybe a JV is in the plan which means a new investor may not have to buy the debt, but will invest to get the cash rewards for tv money etc. SISU will see this as one way of not losing face , only...

    Investment on the Horizon?

Agree the decades old attendances are irrelevant really. The point is that the club hasn't actually finished top 6 since 1970. We're statistically the worst team to support in the football league in terms of average points per game (again since 1970). It's amazing we get the historical...

    Investment on the Horizon?

It is cumulative - in reference to my earlier post. We're 20th in all time stats. Leicester are 19th - about 700 better than us. Considering the last 20 ish years of shite - I bet they've only just overtaken us.

    Investment on the Horizon?

I saw a tweet this week that Coventry have the 20th highest average attendance in English football since records began. The crowds would come back. We got 30k for a semi in the JPT against Crewe. A one club city. 8th most populous city in the country. Definitely potential there - just need...

Cov City On Footy Manager '17

Love this game so much. I haven't bought the latest one as I have a Cov game going on last years version in which the club was bought by an Israeli billionaire - just don't want to start again with SISU! But after reading your posts above I think I'm going to have to!!! Ton ton zola mokoku...

Why do you hate the Villa?

I'll always remember them singing "we'll meet again" as we lost 3-2 at villa when we were relegated. My dislike turned into hatred then. I also can't stand Leicester.

    JOEY BARTON!

Just read his autobiography and enjoyed it. Loves himself, but reckon he'd do a great job with us. However we've got no chance of getting him. Simply couldn't afford him.

Yes I saw this and thought about this thread! Fingers crossed.

Getting sisu to sell, is this a way ?

By the way that was autocorrect when Sherman was quoted in my previous post - not a xenophobic term!

Rochdale : any season ticket holders not going in ?

ST holder currently in Greece on holiday - so boycotting (sort of!!)

Getting sisu to sell, is this a way ?

Completely agree - but they're seen as the axis of evil compared to the 50+1 model that the German's so love about their clubs. They wouldn't get the same reaction here as every other club has some rich owner / company backing them. We should attempt a RB Jaguar Sky Blue FC team - we'd be loaded!

Getting sisu to sell, is this a way ?

They're also absolutely hated in German football...... but I'd still take it now!!

    Why won't sisu sell?

This is the point. They haven't taken the hit on CCFC yet. The group companies have taken anything of the £60m debt. As it was converted into equity. Still on the balance sheet. They say they sell then the hit is realised. Having said that, their investors must get regular reports into...

    Another Guardian article

The article is flawed in my opinion. Football is not business in the true normal commercial world of business. And certainly not when you buy a club outside of the prem. SISU had a go and failed, there's no coming back from this for them now. There will be interested buyers for the club...
