    Coronavirus Thread (Off Topic, Politics)

A death every 2 minutes in Italy, I’m sure that doesn’t happen in your average flu outbreak? Perhaps the numbers are fabricated?

Harry’s game, with the classic soundtrack by Clannad and the guy from Casualty.

The rate of increase is critical in calculating how much of the population will be affected. Angela Merkel has mentioned a figure of 70% but this is predecated on a daily increase of 33% with no flatening out, this number would be hit in roughly 40 days from now. If we take yesterday's increase...

    Coronavirus Thread (Off Topic, Politics)

It’s highly unlikely it’s that high. So far there are 9172 cases with 463 deaths (5%), however there must be 1000’s at home with mild undiagnosed symptoms not even counted. In short the figures are massively skewed.

    Ipswich Fan In Peace

Ipswich were my boyhood 2nd club (I know shouldn't admit it). But in my opinion the early 80s team are one of the best English club sides ever, an absolute joy to watch. I was gutted when they finished 2nd to Villa, who were themselves a pretty decent team in those days.

    Comparision Table last Nine Years

I've done a quick piece of analysis on the final 2 months of last season and it's interesting to note the limited change in positions in the top half of the table and the massive movements in the bottom half, with Oxford, Rochdale and Wimbledon showing top 6 form. Just goes to show that no team...

Would be apt, given the medical name of the virus is COVID-19. Hopefully the name has nothing to do with the player holding that squad number, Jordan Ponticelli!

Historically who have City played the most....

Funnily enough, Southampton and Norwich are the two clubs I would compare us to in terms of history and fan base, although both are doing significantly better than us at the moment. Furthermore St Mary’s is a very close match for the Ricoh and Carrow Road strongly evokes Highfield Road.

    £100 to buy a ticket?

I'm absolutely sick of the blatant profiteering going on which is being perpetrated by local authorities and government. In the last 12 months I've had; 2 x parking fines when just dropping off (1 Cov hospital, 1 Liverpool Uni) - appeals in progress 2 x bus lane fines (1 Cov, 1 Manchester) -...

    Ask Neil

There should be some targeting of the City of Culture. It should be made clear that as one of the Coventry's biggest cultural assets, it is untenable for the football club to be playing outside of the city during this year. Threatening protests at planned events leading up to the City of...

    Season Tickets

Mainly talking from personal experience. Prior to Northampton I had a season ticket, that's no longer the case. Hopefully your assertion proves to be correct.

    Season Tickets

I openly admit that I only made it to 4 or 5 home games last season, mainly when my son was home from uni. I would never criticise others for attending and don't believe that boycotting games will make a jot of difference. I do think that it is valid to say that some will get out of the habit...

Went to school with him. A bit of a harsh description in my opinion. Just a passionate supporter with a different viewpoint to most on here.

    St Andrews confirmed!

Just think that this will ultimately hurt Wasps more than CCFC. They are the outsiders and whilst their initial PR in the city was effective I think that this will prove to be a disaster for them.

Club Statement regarding EFL vote and stadium situation

More likely any deal is going too and fro between the lawyers. SISU’s track record makes it inevitable.

    Wasps pull out...

That would be my thinking. Surely the only chance of a deal is if CCC indemnify Wasps against the potential outcome of the EC complaint and influence them to complete the deal with CCFC, on the basis that the chances of the EC finding against them is a long shot at best. Not sure if you are...
