    Walsall Match Thread

I'm more inclined to believe that SISU engineered the relegation so they could argue the case for a rent reduction.

If SISU do put ACL out of business

The other way you can look at it is that ACL/Council built a stadium for CCFC when they didn't have a pot to p*ss in and the thanks they get is to try to force them out of business so they can get their hands on it on the cheap. sums up private equity finance to me.

    question on HR

when Portsmouth Council were trying to work out how much to lend the supporters they used a figure of 40 to 80 units http://www.portsmouth.gov.uk/media/coun20120809r5appB.pdf It looks like HR was capable of providing more than that.

    question on HR

I've looked on Google and it is only half finished on there. It looks like some are flats and some are houses. I mean dwelling units ie both.

Does anyone know how many houses were built on the land previous occupied by highfield road stadium?

    McDonald - Am I alone

People suggest he needs to get fit. FIT is not the opposite of FAT. First he needs to get lean. He won't score anything like the goals in his present condition.

    Liquidation

Good strikers are paid substantially more than other players because scoring goals is not something most players are capable of. Just look at the number of so called strikers around who don't even score 10 a season. It is a massive skill, the game is entirely reliant on it, and it is in short...

    Robins Rating.......Fans View ?

just bringing in DMcG was a job well done. Hopefully it will give him time to work with the team and get them playing to a level where losing DMcG won't be the disaster it might appear.

unfortunatley strikers are the most expensive of players. given our funding we will always be looking to get players on th echeap and then you just get strikers who don't score.

Don't read if you don't want to talk about AT

Thorn was a fall guy. He was put in place by SISU because he cost them nothing and they had him completely under their control. When players needed to be sold - they went. At the moment they are allowing Robins to do his job but what happens in January when we need to raise funds? Is there...

    Robins Rating.......Fans View ?

I don't think it is fair to judge players on a few performances, especially in a club which has problems. They have effectively played under three managers this season and the same team has hardly been put out twice. Any new manager is going to want to stamp his own authority on it so the...

    Does anyone care anymore?

They are only the most important seasons if you ignore our history. They can only be the most important if you ignore anything after that. I would say season 2000/01 is the season that has had the most effect on us IN OUR HISTORY and it will be very difficult to top that in the next two years.

Never thought I would do it

I have been supporting Bath City for 5 years and am not the slightest bit interested in visiting the Ricoh. The very name makes me shudder. It epitomises all that is wrong with the club. It is soulless and depressing and I am not prepared to part with good money to travel up there for that. I...

    Hope... Probably more false hope...

So how does that relate to Robins situation? How does he hugely increase any budget relevant to him? Not my idea of strong leadership by the way.

    If we could start again...

My reading of what MR said when he first arrived was that the attitude of the playing staff was wrong. They had got into a slipshod mentality. They might have thought they were up for it but that was only within th eterms of how much effort they were putting in overall. It is quite difficult...

    If we could start again...

I was told by a number of fans on here during the summer that this years squad was better than last years squad. I didn't argue then, but it does surprise me now that none of them are good enough. I suspect they are all good enough it is just that there is not a team spirit. Hopefully Robins...

A really good discussion this. well done to all. I really am surprised if we won all those games over the last 8 years. seemed like we were constantly losing. I don't know if anyone has noticed but we are still very much in the relegation zone. one defeat and there could be clear daylight...
