I don’t think starting with a back 4 that consisted of three players who have started <10 games between them this season was ever going to end well. KKH and Woolfenden are more than capable players at this level, but they need to get up to speed.

No resentment towards long-term Wrexham fans, but I think the trend of teams being acquired and run in the service of an entirely separate entertainment franchise (rather than as a football club and community asset in its own right) is one to be resisted.

Dunno how you’re measuring ‘take a punt’ (players like Gyokeres and Huckerby cost similar and delivered more etc) but considering how quickly he adjusted to a new country (and language), and how much effort and entertainment he provides, he will always be a cult hero to me.

I think you ride it out for as long as he’s playing well, but it’s hard to believe that he’ll sustain the levels he’s been playing at for a whole season. The football equivalent of the Star power-up in Mario.

If the atmosphere was as bad as you say it was, then the idea of having some fans there who don’t always expect to have the privilege of a ticket in a sellout away end doesn’t sound so bad.

We don't agree. The bookies, the data nerds, the goddamn league table ffs all suggest we are a top-2 calibre team. It's not a fantasy, this is who we are - we lost one game tonight, the world continues to turn.

Unbelievable bedwetting here. All the performances, results, underlying data, you name it so far this season suggest we are one of the best teams in the league, and a 1-goal loss away to Wrexham with several first-team players missing doesn't change that.
