Yep stupidly watched it last night when it pinged up on facey, just as the misses was serving dinner, instantly regretted it. Probably the worst one ive seen since Eduardo for Arsenal a few years back.
I think its possible that Spence impressed TM yesterday, why would he sign a winger that is no better than one of the young kids coming through our ranks, certainly will be cheaper.
If TM brings in a couple of defenders before the start of the season i would not be to worried. Then when the games start and players know if they are in their clubs first teams or not, we will have a better chance of getting quality loan players in. I think we will only bring in a couple more...
In words it seems so simple, but the tangle that is our club, Wasps and the council, we would need some serious anti-venom. The only one i could see is us gaining promotion, some nutter with bags of money may take the gamble then.
I really hope there is one out there, but currently i cant see anyone taking a sip from this poisoned chalice. Wheres that american bloke when you need him lol.
What are peoples honest thoughts the club is worth? How much debt do we have? if the latter out weighs the first, they would have to be a cov fan to even consider buying the club. Other buyers would look at the issue with the council and stay well away, who would want to walk in to this mess!
Haha. Literally laughing out loud, of cause he did, it's so obvious now. To much football manager or possibly brandy. But yes that does make much more sense :)
Fully agree with you except for manset. Don't get me wrong he was shit for us, but if he even tried a little bit he could of played at a higher level. He just didn't give a fuck, loved being a footballer but hated that he had to train or play football. When some one tries as little as him ...
I'm sorry if I have miss read your post but baker is certainly not a cb but a attacking winger/midfielder. I agree though that signing him would not make sense as he would not really fit tm design. Still love the guy though for his passion.
I really could see him coming in as a coach then. What ever is said about Woodgate, if it was not for his bad injury record he would of been a top, top player. Having him coaching our young defenders would be great.
He never said we were signing Woodgate as just a player. Id be happy if he came in as a player coach, mainly to guide lads like Harries, and playing the odd game if need be.
Edit* Did Woodgate ever play under TM at Middlesborough? i really could see him coming in as a coach if he has.
At 31 i think it is still worth a punt. If he had only been a bit part player last year i would be more hesitant, but as he played nearly 40 games he still has the energy! I always rated him as well even back in his Sunderland days, only issue might be clubs moving up to the championship would...
What about Ross Wallace of Sheff Weds. Seems hes also being released, 31 now but id say still a good player. Played 30+ games last year for the Owls, so definitely still has it in him! Can play left wing or in the mid.
We have apparently began talks with him, anyone know much about him?

Have to say i forgot about Willis. I am surprised he let Martin go but i do believe if Cian bulks up a bit he will be a commanding center half. I honestly believe he has faith in the youngsters coming through and has kept on Ricketts and Tudgay to guide them, plus the wages TM must of freed up...
im surprised by Martin not being offered a new contract, but surely TM must have some one lined up, maybe Turner, would love to have him back. Also i think he is keeping Ricketts and Tudgay on because they know the kids who will be promoted this year, and will be the guiding voice for them in...
