The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

If you're the USA. TTIP is shite and that's with the whole EU. We're going to be left to the mercy of poorer regulation H&S and environmental protections, huge companies being given free rein to do as they please because money is apparently more important than humans and potentially the entire...

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

Why not? It's not like there haven't been people banging on about how bad being in the EU has been and how we should leave ASAP for the past 45 years.

    Ponti

Wasn't expecting him to get a loan that high due to his injury last year. Expected another L2. Good luck to the lad - hope he gets regular game time. Wonder what odds you'd get on him outscoring our strikers this season?

    Jordon Thompson

Looked a good prospect in the academy but having brought in Williams and Drysdale with Thompson filling in at RB I think MR has decided it's unlikely he'll be pushing on. Shame, but how it goes. Trouble is even if he impresses it'll be the argument that it's too low a standard to psuh him up...

Sightings of CCFC Footballers (away from the pitch)

Used to regularly talk to John Sillett in Tesco's early to mid 90''s, and Andy Blair because he opened his shop in the same complex. Was trained by Alf Wood for a week on a coaching course when he must've been about 80. Had no idea he was an ex-player until my grandad told me. Apparently met...

    Transfer Rumour Bids for Chaplin

Unless it's someone he really rates and has no change of getting permanently I don't think MR will dip into the loan market unless injury etc make it unavoidable.

    William Bapaga

We signed Johnny N'gandu when he turned 17 with a year left on his scholarship. I imagine that's our intention with this lad too, but who's to say if a bigger club might make him a better offer? Charlie McCann moved to Man U before he'd even got to full scholarship stage (I think he's the same...

    England cricket 2019

What happened with Dhoni the last few games - playing like it's test cricket. No urgency at all. I used to get he'd try and get used to the pitch etc then explode with the boundaries but he doesn't even seem to be doing that anymore - just blocking and rotating the strike most of the time.

    Fighting discrimination through discrimination

The LGBTQI+D.I.S.C.O brigade are really good at that. Changed the name about four times in a year because it discriminated against someone or other and accused people of being ignorant cause they used the wrong term on social media two minutes after some unknown person had decided to change it...

Did you have to do work experience when you were at school?

Did mine at AXA. Basically data entry setting up or amending people's policies. Saw a few policies of some famous people inc footballers and actors. Sums involved you can see why some people are tempted to bump people off!

    English or British?

I was born in England. Parents and grandparents born in England and NI. Great grandparents from England, NI, Wales and Scotland. I guess from a geopolitical stance I consider myself to be both British and English. However, I reserve the right to disagree with English and Brits and agree with...

    Realistic ambitions for this season

I'm not saying I disagree with the policy, I'm just pointing out it can also backfire. I'd much rather this than one year deals and loans.

I'm still hopeful one day we will get a storm named that. FOr the irony I hope it's a massive one (as long as no-one gets hurt of course).

Home shirt out of stock already

In fact the largest percentage of 'payday' is weekly. Lots of poorly paid jobs are still paid in this manner. I'm just pointing out that what's convenient for you may well be very inconvenient for others. So when they complain about the release not matching their payday would you say that...

    Realistic ambitions for this season

But with the three year contracts as devils advocate if the signings don't turn out well we're stuck with them for an extended period as I doubt anyone would sign them if they're unsuccessful. So that's the transfer kitty spent and lots of the wage budget tied up for a few years. Having said...

Home shirt out of stock already

When exactly is 'payday'? I used to get paid 2nd week of the month. Sister gets paid on third Friday. Mate gets paid end of first week of the month once time sheets have been collated and added up.

Someone once said it was a reference to Shakespeare but I don't believe it. 1. Bill's mother lived damn near the same place as Bill, so why not just say Bill's? 2. It seems to have been quite well used further afield so god knows how they could see that far.

    Transfer Rumour Jamie Allen signs

I don't either. I'm actually planning on using the betting this season to test a theory of betting against City and see how it ends up. Was going to send a similar idea (not involving betting but ticket discounts) to the club called "Points or £'s"
