Wasps takeover bid could be agreed in private

Well yes, but they won't, because they're shits. That's why we, the supporters, should put as much pressure on the council to end this nonsense. If we don't, and this goes through, the club is fucked. Proper fucked.

Wasps takeover bid could be agreed in private

Well yes, for the length of the lease (I suspect it will not be much less than 50 years), they will to all intents and purposes. Just because the council will retain ownership of the freehold, it doesn't mean they have any control.

    Latest SBT statement

We all cared. It was supporter action that brought the club home ultimately, and our actions were widely commended by the football community. Please let's not pretend otherwise.

    Latest SBT statement

I think you have taken leave of your senses Otis. I'm sorry, but we can be absolutely certain that closing the door on the prospect of the club owing the stadium will be a disaster. How can it possibly not be, short of Wasps stuffing brown envelopes through doors at Gallagher Retail Park. Not...

Wasps takeover bid could be agreed in private

You know that Wasps want to buy a 90% stake in ACL, putting an end to the prospect of the football club you support owning the ground they play in and ending any prospect of the club being bought out in the near future. You know that, yet can't make a judgement either way. Seriously?

    Latest SBT statement

Don't understand why so many people are sitting on the fence until they know the 'details'. Why? We know Wasps are actively trying to secure ownership of the Ricoh. That's all you need to know, we don't any more 'details'. People should be screaming from the rooftops about this, it would be...

    So who owns WASPS?

There is not a chance in hell that this 'deal' will ever be to the benefit of the football club.

    Car parks Closed

Hope there is a late surge, but only 1600 tickets sold for this on top of season ticket sales, and only 300 sold in total today. Unlikely to be much of a walk-up given matchday price hike. The person I spoke to today, when asked what the ticket sales look like, simply said 'horrendous'. Could...

    Car parks Closed

I wouldn't worry, the predicted gate for Saturday is only 8500.

    Disappointed with club shop

There are very few customers because there is no stock, and didn't the club also say they were staying at Gallagher because footfall is better overall? I was in the club shop recently, some guy was trying to get a name put of the back of a shirt he had bought for his son as a present. They had...

    Fickle Sky Blue supporters

These threads are becoming tedious. The same people complaining that we had 'lost a generation of fans' last season are now whining that we are getting crowds pretty much identical to what we had prior to the move. Our crowds now are not typical, so why are people trying to pretend they are...

Cov RFC do NOT want a merger with Wasps

I just don't see how this could possibly work. As owners Wasps would, naturally, want to make the stadium their own. They probably wouldn't want to play in an arena with sky blue seats, with references to 'CCFC' and 'SkyBlues' at both ends. This move would be massively controversial for them...

    2,500 tickets sold for Saturday

Ah, the '10K hardcore' nonsense again. Totally oblivious to the fact we are currently getting our worst gates for about 50 years - so decidely UNtypical of this club, and yet completely unwilling to engage in sensible discussions about the reasons for that and how we might reverse the trend. I...

    2,500 tickets sold for Saturday

Of course some people simply cannot be arsed, or simply choose do to something else. Who has said differently? And why are you so arrogant as to think everyone ought to be as committed as you anyway? Some people can't be arsed, some people simply can't (work, distance etc), some perhaps...

Yeah, but they didn't actually do that though.

Thankyou , thankyou to Carl Baker .................

He did say our away support was 'exceptional', just about the only positive thing he said. Noel Whelan I remember did a newspaper interview when he was a player at Middlesbough when he slated the club too, but that one seems to be forgotten. Never been bothered by this sort of thing though.

    2,500 tickets sold for Saturday

Miss the fanzine culture. I take it you're not talking about SBA, so perhaps In Dublin's Fair City or Sent To Coventry/Lady Godiva Rides Again?

    2,500 tickets sold for Saturday

Don't mention big attendances and reduced ticket prices, people will assume you are trying to suggest there is some sort of link, and that'll only make them furious. I made that mistake the other day. I only happened to mention the 23,000+ gate against Colchester when tickets were reduced to...

Yeah, met Mo at an awards dinner once. Proper gent.

    2,500 tickets sold for Saturday

It really isn't that difficult to work out roughly how many tickets are sold. You can log on to the website and simply look at the number of available seats for the Yeovil game and deduct it from the number of available seats for the Preston game. Add on the 4000 ST holders, away fans, a few...
