Thankyou , thankyou to Carl Baker .................

I think he wanted to say a personal thank you publicly, which seems perfectly OK to me. But he is right though. Carl Baker really is just about the nicest fotballer I have ever met.

    2,500 tickets sold for Saturday

Our current gates (basesd on 2 seasons ago anyway) are our lowest for the best part of 50 years. Why would you build a stadium only able to cater for crowds at the very lowest end of the range of gates we are capable of as a club? That's SISU logic. Our attendances will recover in time, let's...

    2,500 tickets sold for Saturday

That sort of thing was rife back in the 80s. The history books say we only averaged 17,000 the year after we won the cup, but it is a nonsense really. I remember one game - think it might have been Everton - when half the ground starting laughing when they announced the attendance. All very...

    2,500 tickets sold for Saturday

That will include ST holders, but perhaps not away fans and corporate.

    2,500 tickets sold for Saturday

Nah, still lots of seats reserved for ST holders who have not renewed, so gives a false impression. The crowd will be about 10.5K in the end. It's disappointing, but entirely consistent with the gates we were getting two season's ago. Not all that surprising really.

info for season ticket holders without Yeovil tickets....

Which means if you tried to but a ticket online, you couldn't buy at the JSB rate, and you'd probably have to go to the ticket office to sort out. But then according to the '2 minutes online' brigade, their are no issues with online ticket sales at all, so stop moaning.

    Err..yes you can.

They need a presence at the Ricoh Arena.

Agree. The issue for me is why, given that they've hardly sold a ticket all week, are there still queues of 1 hour? ST renewals I imagine, but then just put more staff on?

Attendances ours don't look that bad.

It's not a perfect guide, but it's a better guide. We also have similar gates (historically) to all those clubs, despite the fact I'd argue that their wider catchment areas are much bigger.

I see what you're trying to do there, not falling for it ;)

    Tickets sold

Sorry, it's crap. Our crowds now are at the lowest point since the second world war. They are not typical. Go back just a few seasons we were averaging 21,000 as a mid-table championship side - just run of the mill games with no Wembley ticket on offer or big team opposition on show. Crowds...

Attendances ours don't look that bad.

Pointless. City populations are meaningless if you don't take into account the size of the conurbation. You can argue all like that, say, Coventry is bigger than Nottingham - but it's bollocks. Nottingham is twice the size of Coventry in population terms. Urban area is a much better guide...

I think he is. This is the same Grendel who was last week deriding the part timers for turning up because tickets were cheap.

Attendances ours don't look that bad.

Bradford have 8500 season ticket holders, we have 4000 (for obvious reasons), so very much doubt we will overtake them this season - unless we get into the top 6 and stay there until the end, then we might see some big gates.

    Yeovil Attendance

Fair enough. Just find all these people trying to argue that prices don't affect attendances tiresome - most of whom were moaning last week that people were only queuing in their thousands because of cheap tickets. None of us are saying it makes a massive difference, but for some it does. We...
