Dunno. Why don't you ask Jeeves?

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

IMO you can have left/right wing economic and left/right wing social. Lib Dems economics is more right wing, social is more left. What about thought on things like abortion, homosexuality, sexism etc? These have absolutely no relation whatsoever to economic policy. But someone anti-abortion or...

Greta Thunberg / Climate Change Summit

He specifically mentioned becoming more well-off which is implicitly referencing tax. It is well-known that people fear change as they get older as the unfamiliarity of the unknown frightens them. Also by then conservatism has also evolved to become more akin to their own thoughts because it is...

Match Thread Coventry City vs. Doncaster Rovers Match Thread - Saturday 28th Sep

He's also on Quest this weekend - two of his previous clubs playing in one of his other previous clubs stadium. He is also a coach at Doncaster I believe which may just affect his thinking.

To be fair I think most people couldn't until recently. Only a couple of years ago I learnt you're not supposed to let the kettle boil because it brings out the bitter taste in coffee.

Similarly last year someone I know was complaining about their radiators rattling and not having a lot of warmth go through them so they needed to call a heating engineer. I asked if he'd bled the radiators and he looked at me like I was insane - never even heard of it before. He's in his 30's.

So what about BSB's points? Going to argue with them rather than the clearly tongue-in-cheek response you have replied to?

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

The Lib Dems were set up to be a 'middle ground' but they lean more towards the left than right. They predominantly want change and on the whole favour more social equality policies, which is the opposite to most 'conservative' thinking. You've said on here before most Lib Dem votes come from...

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

And if the Lib Dems and Greens didn't exist Labour would be comfortably ahead, and that's not taking into account the Scots and Welsh National Parties. There are more left wing parties than right so the left vote is always more split up. Tories only seem to ever have one major challenger on...

In places like London it's expensive and the public transport system can get you about more than adequately. It's more than possible to live without a car as long as either a. you don't mind the extra time public transport takes b. you can afford to get everywhere by taxi's etc. Some people...

Greta Thunberg / Climate Change Summit

A lot of the 'far-right' killings in the US are religious nutcases killing people because they refuse to live by their beliefs and see those people as evil heathens. Doesn't that sound a bit familiar to the Islamic terror threat?

Social media has made it worse, but I think it's basically all media. Since they've had the opportunity to be on TV etc it's a load of posturing and doing stuff to get your name mentioned or a clip of you on the news. Basically like reality tv contestants. But then do I want all this stuff to...

Greta Thunberg / Climate Change Summit

I'm completely on board with you. But it isn't me you have to convince. It's those who think short term and what am I getting NOW. They literally can't think long term, so if they can't see this apocalyptic future happening right in front of their face right now it isn't happening at all...

Of course it would be IF there was no second referendum, which is why it has to be done first. As I pointed out either party could add all sorts of crap hidden into manifestos knowing that all that what will largely matter will be their Brexit position. Do you want to nationalise industry? Well...

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

I'm aware the main work is done behind the scenes. But it feels like more and more the Commons main chamber has become akin to a reality TV programme, with 'personalities' posturing to get air time. So let's do away with that nonsense and see some actual proper work being done instead.

    Fulfilling Your Potential ?

Just out of interest are you a perfectionist? Procrastination is often a sign of it because the anger and frustration of not doing something as well as you like is so huge the slight remorse of not doing anything and wasting time is far preferable.

Greta Thunberg / Climate Change Summit

Unfortunately it does matter who's bringing the message. We are sadly living in an age of celebrity and who is delivering the message seems to be more important than the message itself. A lot of people are saying how great it is that someone so young is spearheading (or at the very least is the...

Watching that I was wondering can we have a vote of no confidence in parliament as a whole because from yesterday I was wondering if it's actually fit for purpose. That whole thing was a shambolic embarrassment and if you had a bunch of 6 year olds behaving like that they'd be excluded from school.

If you're treating a GE as a referendum (which you really shouldn't) then just have the second referendum without the chance for it to be argued about it being a multi-issue election and therefore not necessarily representative of public perception of Brexit. If you treat a GE as a...
