    the housing market

If you really like the other place more go for it instead. It's a long term decision you'll be living in for years so ultimately it has to be what will make you happy rather than what you feel to be a moral obligation. If you go through with the current one knowing you could have had somewhere...

    Kastaneer

Unless his attitude is affecting the other players and squad cohesiveness I'm fine with keeping people involved. Maybe he isn't the hardest worker in the world (I don't know) but that doesn't instantly mean he's disruptive. Maybe infuriating because others think he could be doing better but it...

    Championship salary cap next season?

Agree entirely. Fixes more problems than anything else IMO - hoarding of talent, gulf between top clubs and the rest, ability of youngsters to get competitive games, increase in overall ability of the leagues (and thus hopefully national team). It HAS to come in eventually.

    Championship salary cap next season?

But big players will choose to be released. They quickly get another big contract. But in doing so the club will have to forego transfer fees so although it gets the wage bill down it could result in an immediate significant 'loss' on the balance sheet. Paying transfer fees would become a very...

Didn't realise you were adding a squad cap in as well.

    the housing market

I agree about using a property as your main home. It's an 'essential' and so tax so be minimal if any at all. There needs to be a skewing of the market in favour of first homes against BTL/second homes which tax should cover but it'd be so difficult to police. Second homes would be bought in...

    New Stadium Announcement!!!!!!

It may have already been mentioned but weekdays you've got all the students, lecturers, staff etc on site which is going to massively reduce for a weekend which the Cov fans would take the place of. Even events at the Arts Centre would likely be later in the evenings and at most would add...

    Championship salary cap next season?

Of course they could sell the high earners on the cheap or let them go for free. But isn't that also playing into the hands of the bigger clubs? Sharks circle and pick up good players for peanuts. Plus how would that affect the ability to raise finance and solvency? If you've got a player that...

    The official NFL Thread

Reckon it's a temporary name until the come up with a new name/logo etc. Gonna have to do the usual surveys/market research to find out what name the fans like most. Bit of genius marketing really because they can now get loads on two sets of merch (arguably three with stuff with the old name...

    Championship salary cap next season?

I've never been sure about whether transfer fees should go in the wage budget. One year you could sell a player for a fortune, up the wage bill and season after you've broken the rules. Unless you sell someone for big money and bring in some players on 1 year contracts hoping to get promoted...
