I am presuming the refund would be from James as it was his failure to arrange the travel to the game. As the coaches were specifically for the purpose of getting them to the game (i assume) they would have a case for it but i doubt they'll ever see the money.

Id presume he means refunds for the match tickets they were precluded from using when the arranged coaches didn't turn up.
