Why did anyone predict anything but a City defeat?

I'd imagine the Forest fans were more in a sense of self-loathing than actually believing in our chances. All of them in Glen mode.

    Unbelievable

The best thing that ever happened to David Bell's Coventry tenure is Carl Baker.

If we weren't down before, we are now...

That's true, but this match isn't really any different to the rest in that respect. It would have been a huge win if only to get at least one on the board, but the defeat is more business as usual than a turning point for the worse.

If we weren't down before, we are now...

I don't believe this game tells us anything overall, other than 'Coventry lose away games'. Every defeat since around November has had people saying we're now League One-bound.

As important as this game is, this won't define whether we stay up or go down. Let's not start pretending that an away defeat in a season filled with them is somehow the final death knell.

This is nervy. Normally when I'm watching webcam quality video and sweating this much there are fewer men on screen.

We've had the lions share of possession by the sounds of things so far.

Yeah, the links will all point to the same lack of picture and sound, just sourced from different international channels.

They still haven't got the hang of modern technology in Nottingham clearly. They've sent a fella to wind up the cameras.

Nuts to it, Mercia will do instead. Dave Bennett's commentating/cheerleading is way more fun than a blocky stream of an Aussie broadcast could ever be.

The Millpool by Binley Road is another that's showing it if anyone's nearby.

one thing the "keep thorn" brigade needs to understand......

For all his faults, that goal at Blackburn where he Jonah Lomu'd their defence was a belter.

Well I for one am disgusted that you view a garment differently to me. What's your address (and where can I get dog poo and cheap lighters)?

one thing the "keep thorn" brigade needs to understand......

This doesn't really make sense. You're countering a suggestion that a manager exists that could do better, with a point that there are some who've done worse.

one thing the "keep thorn" brigade needs to understand......

I assume he's not referring to all fans who question Thorn as most are sensible and actually would like their doubts to disappear with Thorn succeeding. There are however a small number of people here who only conveniently pop up at certain times.

I'm very glad that's not actually going to be our new kit.

Time to Forget Other Issues and Focus on the Team

The 'focus on the team' brigade, would we?

    New badges on the scoreboard

We really need to carve the forum up into 'brigades' and eliminate the possibility of individual thought on this matter, pronto.

One thing the "Thorn out" brigade needs to understand .....

Is this an exercise in irony?

One thing the "Thorn out" brigade needs to understand .....

If you're advocating everyone who disagrees with you about something should go elsewhere, it kind of misses the point of what's meant to be a discussion forum, and not a cheerleader tryout.
