    Robins on CWR

Why? Ultra predictable questions matched only by non committal cliched responses. Each to their own. I find them as interesting watching paint dry

    Robins on CWR

Let’s be honest these post match interviews are the very definition of banal. About as insightful as a blancmange. Just do away with them.

    Still fuming

It’s a bit of an over reaction. This is football. You lose games. You have periods of poor form. Everyone quoting this run conveniently throws in Cardiff/Saints/Brum. What about Leeds?

    Callum O'Hare

Don’t be silly. It’s much more nuanced than that. Some may be playing for new contracts etc. O’Hare clearly has something lined up. Let’s boil it down to simple terms. We have a guy in charge who is probably the clubs best ever manager. He’s deciding not to play O’Hare at the moment. He’ll have...

    Callum O'Hare

Completely agree with Robins on this. Once a player knows they are going they are gone mentally. We’ve been fine without O’Hare for two years. I suspect next season he’ll be but a distant memory - albeit a good one. Good luck to him but we move on.

Early Bedwetting Thread - Brum Edition

I saw this thread coming a mile off. Knew this would happen today. There’s no depth to it.

Match Thread Birmingham City - Coventry City Match Thread - Saturday 13th Apr

Silly season for results. Teams fighting for survival suddenly start winning. We should know that as Cov fans. The drama here about us being shit is laughable. We beat Leeds just 7 days ago. It’s frustrating to be behind but let’s get some perspective

It was the start that killed us this season

“Killing the season” is an interesting take. I think we’ve had a fantastic season. Having to cope with the play off final trauma, rebuilding the team especially in defence and having to replace the goals of Gyokeres and Hamer. Yet here we sit in an FA semi and with a squeak of the play offs...

    Callum O'Hare

Let’s not forget it’s O’Hare’s decision to go. We offered him a contract. He’s decided to go elsewhere. In the same way that it’s human nature for him to be 2% less it’s the same for the fans. We won’t be as invested in him. I do think his impact over the last 2 years or so has been massively...

    Transfer targets

I don’t think he’s a write off but he is a defender so if he is lax there it’s a worry. Ok as a solid squad player for me

    Transfer targets

Given the exchange between us and Peterborough when we got Mason-Clark in terms of us “liking” another one of theirs I would like us to have a look at Harrison Burrows.

    Fábio Tavares

Yeah. But our 8m man on the other side already has lots of goals and assists.

    Callum O'Hare

No ones saying he’s not a good player. It’s just a matter of fact that generally we’ve been fine without him. We’ve had to be.

    Fábio Tavares

You have to factor in that he isn’t a winger. Despite his pace he’s essentially a poacher. He never gets played there, which is correct given where he is in the pecking order, but also means it’s difficult to judge him. He’s picked up goals when he has played there albeit against poor...

    Callum O'Hare

He’s only human. He’s secured his move. He probably doesn’t even realise he’s doing it. He looks like he’s bulked up a bit to me as well. Against decent players last night his level was shown up. He had a couple of neat touches but really had no impact on the game. I’d be surprised if his move...

In fact we probably shouldn’t have had any.

Match Thread Southampton - Coventry City Match Thread - Tuesday 9th Apr

Difference tonight was they controlled the ball better in midfield and generally passed better than us. Having said that we missed a pen and suffered a goalkeeping howler. The game itself felt a lot like our play off chances - just out of reach.
