Nothing has happened to them. Simms has had a decent start and inexplicably been dropped. Wright was picked when clearly flagging. They are still two of the best strikers in the league
The most worrying aspect so far this season is that Robins and his team thought going with the same outfield 10 yesterday was the correct choice. Simms should never have been dropped. Bassette has promise but Simms is a proven 20 goal a year champ striker. Wright was clearly exhausted etc etc...
Those voting Robins out need to be careful what they wish for. We’re missing our most influential player. £45m or £0 players are human beings and need time to bed in. The only time I’d even start considering a change would be the end of the season.
He got it wrong today but I don’t think he’s in danger. Starting 11 was terribly naive selection. He needs to start with the spine which whenever possible should be Dovin, Thomas, Kitching, Eccles, Sheaf and Simms.
Well that was poor. It’s on Robins. It was a ridiculous team selection. Simms, Saka and EMC had to start. The Spurs game suited bta and Bassette as their harrying came in useful when we didn’t have a lot of the ball. Wright was shattered in the Spurs game. Torp had to start - even though I keep...
I’ve never got it. You pay for a seat - just sit in the one you are allocated. What those that take seats that are not theirs don’t realise is that a good % of people turning up having bought seats together in good faith are too intimidated to ask others to move or don’t want to cause “a scene”...
It’s extremely handy that he can play on the right with Saka’s injury record. I agree he doesn’t always look like a natural finisher but then again his goal against us last year and his composed finish last night indicate otherwise
Let’s not confuse style with ability. Both Simms and Wright play with a laconic style but they are absolutely talented players. The likes of Bassette and Thomas-Asante buzz about and that’s seen as work rate. It’s just playing styles
