I'd be amazed if Bidwell got as far as a medical. He's our only contracted LWB, has been a consistent performer this season and is our only fit, experienced defender right now. To have even considered it seems like defensive suicide given the untested nature of the temporary replacements.

Ironically the thing that would probably see his performances improve is having Fadz back, as he seems like the kind of player that needs to be coached through games by experienced teammates. I'd be playing Doyle ahead of him for the next few games assuming others are fit. Is Rose injured as well?

I don't think Eccles has the natural qualities to be a wing back. Burroughs may possibly, but Eccles to me looks like the tidy kind of player that plays CDM. He's doing an admirable job filling in when he has to, but he's certainly not suited to it. Got Isaac Osbourne vibes all over it to me.
