    They have loan managers yes

Fair point, but he's the manager so he's the main person involved in their development overall during their time on loan

They are different levels of clubs aren't they? Bit different from Coventry to Manchester city and United.

I seriously doubt it's the managers that are deciding these loans... Most these clubs have loan managers, or the u23 managers will handle it.

Ian Evatt said it pre-season that he played on the right for us regularly.... He didn't in my recollection but guess he was setting the foundation to start him there today!

You just repeated the same point? As I said I would agree if they at least had a decent manager. I wouldn't be thinking Rooney is the right manager to develop my best young talent.

I notice there is no Armstrong in the Blackburn side today. Also no Walsh for Swansea, is he injured again?

If it was a decent manager, and the club was looking to come out of its troubles anytime soon I would agree to be fair. But there are neither of those two things.

I find it so frustrating that they will potentially be getting some incredible talent on loan, when they are such a basket case. For such good players surely there are clubs that would be much better for their development who aren't in such dire straits.

Apparently he was injured for the wolves game so that might not be true. He was involved throughout pre-season so we may just have to wait and see on him.

Not really surprisingly! I thought that too, They do have a couple out injured but then I looked at their club website, and it really is paper thin their squad. Even tonight they had 3 academy players making their full debuts (did well to be fair to them!)

Bournemouth look good, but the strength of their team beyond their first team is pretty weak. A real lack of strength in depth. For their sake I hope they make some more signings soon.

I didn't say don't form a view? I said don't go to the extremes? It also depends whether you have seen the player actually play? Or what you are actually forming your opinion from? If you just go on Wikipedia and say 'he's gonna be shit', that's hardly showing any actual intellect. It's not...

No I have read what you said? But they are just vague comments? Most defensive posts I have been along the lines of 'we haven't finished our recruitment yet let's wait and see' the reality is nobody knows the timelines so just because a couple posters have said start of the season, doesn't mean...

    21/22 Summer transfer mega-thread

My view is that it's okay to question but it isn't okay to attack at every opportunity. The issue is there are posters at both extremes. The sensible view is let's wait and see? Stop either writing off or claiming a player is the next Messiah judging players until we see them play. It's all...

How can the goalposts be moved when it's what most people have said all along? No what's been shot down are the complete meltdowns, and the over the top reactions when we are clearly still recruiting? I think almost everybody has said they would be concerned if we don't sign a defender?

I haven't seen anybody say it's gone swimmingly? I have just seen that people haven't had a meltdown before the end of the transfer window.

Just seen that Robins has said Cranie is still training with the club (currently with the u23's). So looks like there is still a chance to sign him. From his comments it looks like we are waiting so see how much budget we have after the 2 more loan signings before making the decision. Souare...

When I went to Turin a couple of years ago, we just assumed you paid as you got on the tram, so asked the driver as we got on and he said 'yes yes' and waved us to the back. Soon found out we were supposed to pay in one of the corner shops on the square. But too little too late. Reached our...

    Away Kit??

It's incredibly common not to commit to exact timeframes because anything could happen between now and then. There can be all sorts of reasons behind that, but I have seen it at multiple businesses including both internal and external releases.
