    Congratulations

The atmosphere was one of the best i have witnessed at the ricoh. Great day. Glad i planned ahead and ordered my ticket online (in seconds) earlier in the week rather than joining the queues today.

    2,500 tickets sold for Saturday

Now the walk-up surcharge has gone along with the myth that buying tickets online is arduous, I look forward to reading some new made up excuses as to why the people of Coventry won't come and support their team after a year away. Because its absolutely not repeat not because a huge number...

    2,500 tickets sold for Saturday

I can't work out if you're joking or not but if not can I confirm you are saying the crowd will be around 11K smaller because the shop phone isn't always answered? I have literally heard it all. As said it takes minutes to book online and arrive within 1 or 2 days.

Exactly this. I couldn't give a fuck who we're playing. I support Coventry City.

    2,500 tickets sold for Saturday

Oh and they arrived the following morning. Excuses excuses exucses as always from Coventry supporters. Yet if we were selling tickets for £15 there would be 20K there apparently (according to predictions on the original guess the Yeovil crowd thread).

Some fair points. I certainly wouldn't expect anything like 25,000 at each game in League 1, of course not. But it would have been nice to have seen enough passion in the city to generate more than 10K for our 2nd game back after a year's absence. Who knows, the actual attendance may be...

Nobody has said we wouldn't get more fans if the price was lowered. My view is that even if the price was reduced to say £15 (non-league prices ;-) ) it would make very little impact on the attendance on Saturday because not enough people in the city give a shit. I genuinely don't think...

Attendances ours don't look that bad.

People also seem to be forgetting that the Ricoh effect MKII should be kicking in like it did in 05/06. Look how our attendances jumped then from the season before. Haven't got them to hand but it must have been roughly 50% (14K to 21K ish). That's why I am so disappointed with a predicted...

Attendances ours don't look that bad.

How do we look if we take average attendances as a percentage of population? I know there are other factors to consider including the locality of other football clubs and whether you include outlying settlements etc, but it gives a more sensible discussion point than simply showing attendances...

Re: £18 - probably because people know they can do this and then sit anywhere else in the North Stand? Doesn't mean they wouldn't come to the game at normal prices if this option wasn't here. £4 more on a ticket price would put us outside the norm of pricing for this league. That may put some...

Hang on. Are you saying a Coventry 'fan' who is perfectly able to afford to come on Saturday (and given our league appropriate pricing), lives locally, has no other family/work commitments or logistical issues to contend with, and chooses not to come is anything other than a shit fan (after all...

    Loanees

Based on Nouble's first hour for the club I would choose him. I think a full fit Nouble and Jackson will be deadly in this league.

Many on the three ticket price threads that are doing the rounds presently have numerous posters suggesting the price should be about £15. Nuneaton charge £14 terracing, £16 stand. Answer your question? I thought Sheff U prices start at £18 the same as ours? And I thought it was reported...

Drama Queen. After the over the top emotional scenes on Friday following our return we now see potentially 18K walk away within 6 days. And then by page after page on here of people justifying it by saying we should be charging non-league prices. It's pathetic.

    Yeovil Attendance

Be honest - would you be going if the price was £4 cheaper? Be honest!

Well I have begged the wife to let me go so I will be making my 2nd 400 mile trip in 6 days. If there are 10K there you have to question whether the people of Coventry deserve a football club. How people can essentially say we should be charging non league prices (ie the same as Nuneaton)...
