    Championship 21/22

Rhian Brewster is a very good player at this level, there is clearly something wrong at Sheffield United. Think Jokanovic was a poor appointment to be honest, didn't seem to fit in with what Sheffield needed. Last weekend was very strange, starting 4 out and out strikers in the same team. I...

The end of tonight will SHFWF

Yep my thoughts exactly! 15 more wins to go! (Or any combination that gets another 44/45 points)

    Jake Clarke-Salter's Left Foot

Think it has to be remembered he won't have done a full session with the team yet. As he only joined up on Friday, he would have only done two tactical sessions on the days before matches most likely. As soon as he understands the systems and players better, I'm confident he will be a strong...

Match Thread Blackpool away Match thread

Blackpool appear very similar to us when we first came up, they just need learn quickly at the level and they will be alright.

    O’Hare

Was just about to say the same, without trying to be too negative as he's become a better player in some areas. But he hasn't improved his finishing or his final pass particularly in the two seasons with us so far

    O’Hare

He's a great player and is so key to us, but there isn't a premiership team that will take him until he does sort out his end product. He's irreplaceable for what he does for us, so if he does find that final touch it will be a sad day!

    Jack Wilshire

So the SBT bomb squad? Not the real Bomb Squad. All 4 of those will likely still be heavily involved this season. For their wages i doubt there are significantly better players out there. Considering 3 of them are out of contract next summer, i'm content they can do a job this year.

Aren't there only 3 players in the bomb squad? Jobello, Hilsner and Mason? Hardly lengthy

    Simon Moore

It was a case of he can try come rushing out and risk the pen and red card but hopefully get the ball or he could try stand tall, and hope to put off the attacker, whilst Hyam potentially came across. It wasn't like they were in a foot race for a ball over the top, not sure there is much he...

    21/22 Summer transfer mega-thread

I actually thought he wouldn't add much? Maatsen and Dabo were providing good width and causing issues, we needed Allen on to provide that extra runner beyond the defence and the front men, and tbf it worked, we just missed the bloody pen it got us!

Can't remember, it could well have been? I thought it was Rose, but without watching it back I wouldn't bet on it!

    Kelly

Yep agreed, rose did what he needed to yesterday, think he will look very good on the right of the 3 when he doesn't need to check back as much. I like Hyam, I just think he's currently not one of the starting 3.

    Simon Moore

To be fair it was Rose that actually passed (well just hit) it back at Moore not the Barnsley striker! But agreed far better than Wilson on first viewings!

Perfect case of a player being written off by some before he had played competitively for us. Judged off a pre-season friendly against Sevilla. Impressed by his claiming of crosses, it relieves so much pressure, and he's happy to go long with distribution when needed rather than fannying...

I think what slowpoke is saying is that people are wrong to criticise players before being given a chance. If a player is shit for 10-15 games then fair enough. But waghorn has played about 140 minutes of football for us and he's getting dogs abuse, mainly based on conjecture of his wages? And...

Thing is Hyam was 5 yards deeper than the rest of the defence. Yes o'hare gave it away but in a relatively safe area of the pitch. If Hyam stays with the backline as he should (there was no reason for him to drop) it's not a goal

    Kelly

Tbf our defence hardly looked challenged today? And the goal came from a Hyam error...

It really was, even Robins has said it wasn't hit with any conviction or power. Says he doesn't blame him as he wants his strikers to step up, but if they step up they have to find the net.

They'll get a fine and that's it. The ref will likely have been assessed, and will have to provide a report on the game, which will be reviewed. Doubt anything will change.

Agree with all of this I think. Think with waghorn I don't think him and Gyo can play together effectively. They both naturally were going to the same balls and same positions, not playing as a two. But as it stands Gyo has offered more so far. I think Waghorn will be a good addition just...
