They do actually, and you would expect it. But not by the amount we are. I did read some analysis that a mix of 1/3 actual goals and 2/3 xg was a better predictor of outcomes than either one alone.

Made two good contributions today, coming out early to prevent a 1v1 and a great save second half which would've been a kick in the teeth to concede. Did flap at one or two crosses a bit but so far he is a massive improvement on Collins (not hard).

What's the point on judging Simms based on today where for the majority of the game we couldn't progress the ball further than our centre backs and defensive midfielder?

To be fair I think the lack of EMC and Wright is hurting us massively, not just the lack of goals but general play. They are the ones that stretch the pitch, defenders have to drop off a yard otherwise they risk being beaten and letting them through on goal. Rudoni naturally wants to drop...

Try to flog sheaf for 5m in Jan. he was awful.

It is now. Toothless without Wright and EMC and realistically too far behind. As for our support, the team are just killing it with poor performances. First 5 mins we were plenty loud today, then again after the equaliser but other than that they gave us nothing.
