    Millwall Match Thread

I always find it amusing when people use a 'shots on target' stat to prove a point. As though the number of times you chip the ball into the keepers arms from 30 yards is somehow more indicative how well you have played than the number of times you head it wide from 6 yards. I thought we...

    Police today

Judging by the comments on the Millwall forum, I think you've got that the wrong way around.

    Millwall next week

This sort of thing isn't that unusual, both ourselves and Bradford had a 3k cap imposed by the police at blackpool this season and could both have sold a lot more, but a 2k cap at a stadium like the ricoh is just a nonsense really.

    Millwall next week

Because the club have published the away attendances at the ricoh for at least the last 7 years (obliged to by the league), but actually I'm mistaken as West Ham did bring 6200 which is the largest following at the ricoh since it opened, but on other occasions it has been capped at 5800 (chelsea...

    Millwall next week

No club has ever brought 6k (with the exception of West Brom in the cup) let alone 7k. Away end holds 5800 when absolutely full, but usually capped at a bit less than that.

    Mowbray needs to go

If I ever announce at the beginning of a season that I'd settle for ninth place in division 3, I kindly ask that somebody shoot me in the face.

    10,000 Fans

No mystery, the attendance is always based on tickets sold and a number of season tickets holders didn't turn up. Crowd was boosted by the price offer. Lots of kids there tonight which I guess was the idea.

Honestly though, what exactly have they done wrong this season? Mowbray had a list of demands at the start of the season, and several lines in the sand, and they gave him what he wanted. He has been allowed to bring players in throughout the season, and only one player was sold (and then...

Yeah yeah, but apart from that..

    Peter Reid and Steven pressley

To be fair, Pressley started the season at Sixfields with a decent squad - Leon Clarke, Callum Wilson, Cyrus Christie, Moussa, Baker etc, players that all left and took a step up. By the end of that season he had a squad that reflected the off the field shitstorm and it showed in the results...

    Carl Baker

I don't really think its hero worship, just an acknowledgement that he's a good player at this level, and he has two excellent seasons in this league - one for us and one at MK Dons. He was inconsistent at best in his final season for us I agree. He won't come back anyway, and I'm not arsed...

    Why are fans surprised?

I don't spend loads of time on here so I'll defer on that, but I've read a number of threads recently where the general consensus has been we're going nowhere this season. Will always be those that try to cling on to a little bit of hope. Can't be too hard on them - the alternative would be to...

    Why are fans surprised?

Having you been living in a bubble, we've all (with a few exceptions) been acutely aware that it's been coming crashing down for weeks and there have been endless threads on here about it. Nobody is at all surprised by tonight's result.

    Carl Baker

What, including the season he scored 15 goals from midfield, was our leading scorer by a distance and won supporters play of the year? The following season he was treated badly imo, and then he left and went to a team that finished second and was singled out as their best player? Not saying he...

    Carl Baker

The whole team were woeful that day. Why pick out Baker? He was an excellent player for us, and when he left us he went to a team that won promotion and won supporters player of the year. Massive mistake by Pressley.

    Bradford Millwall Today

Last season was terrible, no question and was painful at times. This season hasn't been that much better though, certainly no better than Pressley's full season in charge when the wheels only really came off when key players left. We played decent stuff at times, scoring 74 goals (a tally I...

    bye bye promotion

I admire the optimism of those that say we still have a chance, but it is very slim at best. We need to win 6 out of 8, and I'm not sure we have that in us. I can't see 69 points being enough for 6th place like last season, more like 74-75. Who knows, we win 3 on the bounce and we start to...

    Swindon Match Thread

To be fair, any club can pick a fixture and designate it a big day out and then run a campaign to drum up numbers. Reading did it a few seasons ago at the Ricoh. Bunch of day trippers today. Their away support this season has been poor and one decent following doesn't really change anything...

    Fleetwood Town (Home) Match Thread

Don't get it either. He had to go when he did, but in the only full season he had at the club we were only 3 points off where we are now at the same point (points deduction aside) and we played some decent stuff that season. Yes we fell away and last term was desperate. So yes, he had to go...
