Butts Park Arena is new home

    100% agree

    So, Reice Charles Cooke...

I think he made the correct judgement to go for the ball yesterday – he just didn’t show enough strength. If he’d stood on his line and let it swing across our 6-yard box, Sharp would probably have scored anyway.

    So, Reice Charles Cooke...

I agree - but then we have to be prepared to accept that it could cost us promotion.

    So, Reice Charles Cooke...

That is pretty much how I see it. But I agree with those who say that we need an experienced keeper – IMHO we’re not doing RCC or Burge any favours by putting so much spotlight on them in a crucial season. Young keepers always make plenty of mistakes, and I dare say TM would like an older head...

    Mowbray interview

TM was philosophical about the various incidents, and I like that from a manager. What’s the point in managers and players ranting and raving and feeling sorry for themselves, with important games coming up? He said “we’ll keep doing what we do”. I was ranting and raving btw :)

Butts Park Arena is new home

Which thread are we on – the Allard Way one, the Butts Park Arena one or the M6 junction one? They’re all so similar it’s easy to lose track :)

    It could be here ?

... and I dare say that's right too.

    It could be here ?

I dare say you're right, it's probably all a bit too late now.

    It could be here ?

Nice try Tony, but please remember it's an established truth around here that you never go to the games ;)

    It could be here ?

Unfortunately it would also mean splitting the liabilities, and SISU don't think the Ricoh is a viable enough business to carry any debts. That's how we got here.

Butts Park Arena is new home

If this is indeed the case, it would introduce a strange new sense of sanity to proceedings. I’m not sure I could cope with that.

Butts Park Arena is new home

I’m going to assume for argument’s sake that Les Reid wouldn’t have got this completely wrong. I don’t see why CRFC shouldn’t have two suitors? Anyway, I’ve really felt good at the Ricoh recently - so if CCFC seriously want to move out and build another stadium, it would at least help if I...

Supporters' group tells Coventry City FC owners to clarify stadium plans

Not so sure about that - each of the three areas appear to be almost Ricoh-sized. But I agree that the locations in and around a complex series of junctions are awkward. It still feels barmy to even imagine the city having two large stadiums, located at successive junctions of the M6 on the...

Supporters' group tells Coventry City FC owners to clarify stadium plans

Sorry to distract from what we can all agree has been a very productive debate, by posting something on-topic. Apologies if it’s already been raised by someone else, but I’ve noticed that a few days ago Rugby Borough Council published their proposed Local Plan for consultation...

Supporters' group tells Coventry City FC owners to clarify stadium plans

I feel like Fisher about this – something along the lines of “I get the anger but I don’t understand the surprise”. From around Christmas time before the Wasps sale, Lucas made it absolutely obvious that another buyer was interested and was prepared to meet the Council’s expectations far more...

Supporters' group tells Coventry City FC owners to clarify stadium plans

Just one question for everyone who thinks the Council and Higgs should have sold the stadium to CCFC. When did we ever put in a bid that was even close to being accepted? To draw a football analogy, we didn’t lose 4-3 in the final to a last minute offside goal. We lost 6-nil in the...

Supporters' group tells Coventry City FC owners to clarify stadium plans

These worries are very rational I’m afraid! It seems to me that the nature of SISU’s business is not to pay full price for anything. I’m a bit like that, which is why the Christmas presents people get from me are from the previous January sales. It’s all very well if you can pick up a big...
