Just dug the CD out and it was actually 1992! I saw them in Liverpool and believe it or not in Paris. I was younger, free and single then.

I've never been. Sorry sounded like I had. I just saw Arthur Lee on the tele when he was there. Great set and he sounded fantastic and was really enjoying the experience.

Yeah, I'll dig it out. They weren't brilliant concerts music wise. Mick Head was stoned and Lee going through the motions a little in small venues, but a good experience. Not as good as when Lee appeared at Glastonbury.

Yeah, Shack were their backing band. I saw a couple of the dates. I have a live CD somewhere. The Fountains and Shack used to play A House Is Not A Motel at most live gigs.

I remember a Michael Head interview from around 1982 when I first got into the Pale Fountains. He said his greatest influences were Burt Bacharach and Arthur Lee from Love. That's when I first went looking for this mysterious band called Love.

DOn't believe all the Bigi wasn't played because of money, etc. To be fair to Slade, Bigi has been shit for the majority of the season. He went through a spell at the beginning of the season where he had a few MOTM awards but has been hopeless pretty much every game he's played in since...

I thought I read "relieved of his duties" somewhere, so I think he has been sacked rather than walked. During the week he stated he wanted to be here for the long term.

You said it "in retrospect". I have to say I thought he would be the perfect appointment, but I got it totally wrong. I think I would rather have a "proper" manager who would be here next year rather than a stop-gap such as a Rickets/Ogrizovic "dream team".

The Coral singles is a triple album so it's taking me a while to get through these. You can have them. They are day of the week socks and they say...Tuesday. You only get what you see though.
