    BBC showing full '87 coverage

That's gonna take a LONG time. Full coverage of '87 and all the build-up. That's a lot of history to get through.

    Coronavirus Thread (Off Topic, Politics)

Sounds more like Corbyn to me. "The caterpillars are eating my lettuces. But I don't want to use harmful chemicals that damage the environment and ecosystem. Maybe i should just let them eat the lettuces."

You need to stop seeing them after then. You'll only end up getting hurt.

I agree there is arguably space for all of them. Maybe Walsh becoming available means that Eccles is more likely to get another season out on loan whereas initial plans were to have him here. Kelly is almost guaranteed to be injured for a month or two. Walsh may be a bit of a risk given his...

Is that the middle class way of saying she's a bit of a minger? Or that you are?

    Ben Sheaf future

Bit different when they're under contract to us and around the place. Sheaf had gone back to Arsenal to look at his injury so I doubt he'd have come back at all if the deal wasn't happening. He'd have stayed down there.

    Ben Sheaf future

Can't imagine he'd have come back to look around the Arena and play in the last game if the deal wasn't definitely going through.

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

I agree how frustrating it is to not have it all in one place, for the left hand to know what the right hand is doing and to have some sense of efficiency between everything. Not sure I agree on the Orwellian govt though (even though we do seem to be getting some frightening similarities).

I don't think it's as a makeweight. It's just CM would have a lot of competition if we sign Walsh as well. I think the consensus would more be to not sign Sheaf in favour of Walsh. There would be the option to switch to Walsh instead of James as a target but I think the experience the latter has...

    Former sky blues supporters club

Read the title and thought 'why would there be a club for people who used to support us but don't any more?'

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

Which would be fine if it wasn't going to cost billions to implement and reducing the likelihood of people bothering to vote. A democracy should be encouraging voting, not putting in measures to put people off. Perhaps we should start legislation now to prevent people with jetpacks from...

    School Protests

In the context of doing stuff like this purely to be antagonistic I agree. But what about just to question what they believe, point out the holes in their arguments or the bits that just don't make sense? This is intellectual debate, but would lead to the more fervent believers being offended...

Surely not! The leftie, woke BBC? And that paragon of impartiality that is LK?

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

Isn't that how cancel culture works though? You start with protesting these speakers until such point as venues don't even bother to book them because of the hassle they'll get around it. Thus they are eventually silenced, or 'cancelled'. What is a 'popular protest'? Does a few hundred, or...

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

FPTP is fine, as long as it isn't the only way we have democratically elected parliament. We need a PR style upper house as well to oversee this rather than a heriditary system or one whereby the party in govt can elect new people to the upper chamber to gain control. For me the benefit of FPTP...
