    What moment still haunts you?

Just looked up the semi-automated thing on the FA website. It speeds things up a bit, but makes no difference to the outcome.

    What moment still haunts you?

Genuine question here - what is the difference with that tech and why would it make Haji onside? I'm not being confrontational, just curious.

    What moment still haunts you?

Your two sentences are contradictory? I agree that trust is everything - with the goal line tech how can anyone even know whether it's 100% perfect? It measures where a moving ball is to within a millimetre or something. Even if happens to only be 98%, if it's exactly the same for both sides and...

    What moment still haunts you?

I agree with the sentiment of this, and although I get negative reactions for saying that Haji really was offside at Wembley, I’m merely referring to the rules as they are now applied. Whether the rules should be changed, or VAR should be abandoned, is an entirely different debate. The most...

    Ipswich v Cov from 1976

Thanks for this. I just managed to catch it - they only showed a couple of minutes, but it brought back some memories from that era! Great to see everyone's favourite Graham Oakey, even if only for a few seconds. And a fine striker's goal from Donal Murphy, who had a lot of ability but maybe...

    What moment still haunts you?

I'm sure, but sadly not at the moment O'Hare makes first contact with his pass, nor indeed as it leaves his boot. Just for that split second (the only moment that counts) Haji's stuck-out foot was offside. I wish the timing had been different, because he was definitely onside just before and...

    What moment still haunts you?

That's a wonderful post 💙 If it's any consolation, you and I were both correct in thinking Haji was offside. He was, but far more narrowly than I thought in real time. I actually anticipated the goal being overturned straight away, so I kind of missed out on the euphoria and maybe that helps me...

    What moment still haunts you?

Yes that was the worst moment of the game, thinking we'd gifted it to them through an inexcusable error.

    What moment still haunts you?

Yeah, a really horrible night in London 😭 Goddard's goal equalising the tie hurt almost as much as the last-minute winner.

    What moment still haunts you?

This is going to sound really random, but there's no accounting for the moments that stick in your mind. Stan Bowles scoring a very late winner against us in the FA Cup for QPR in 1974. Was at a party listening on the radio and we all had a drunken breakdown🍷🍻. Time has healed things a bit 😂.

Yeah that was what I said in my first post, but I later thought I must surely have been wrong. In hindsight, what a horrible way to spend an afternoon, but I kept going through thick and thin!

    National league crowds

Actually I've probably got the timings a bit mixed up there. The all-seater initiative must have enabled the cages to be taken down, but it destroyed the atmosphere at that time, and for some reason people didn't fancy sitting uncovered in the rain in winter 🤷‍♂️ Our home gates went below...

    National league crowds

And if memory serves me right, ours were almost as low at times in the early 80's in the top flight, after Jimmy Hill's all-seater experiment. Banks of cold wet uncovered empty seating on the kop, and we were penned into cages in the West End. Looking back, it's hard to understand why I kept...

Yeah that was definitely a thing - used to happen all the time at Leamington Brakes, moving from behind one goal to behind the other.
