What are you saying! We’ve only spent over a million on two defenders (Thomas and Kitching) who could conceivably play alongside Fadz. There’s no way we spent £3.5m on Simms or £7.7m on Wright without expecting them both to start.

We had one senior CB to cover 3 starting spots and still spent less than we did on strikers.

Literally the league’s top scorer… he’s scored 5. If we were completely dominating games and all he had to do was finish chances that would be one thing, but we’re not. I’m not advocating for dropping him right now but long term he can’t be our first choice.

And Godden is currently our #1 striker. qed

Grant was being marked by Lati, then Fadz calls him across to take #12 and Saka covers Grant. Yes, it's not great defending from Saka and is his "fault" but if I'm Robins in that situation I want Fadz covering 12 and Lati on Grant. Grant's probably 5/6 inches taller and a stone or two heavier...

Everton have some competent strikers and surprise suprise they win a game. They'll be fine this season. DCL would be a 20 a season man if he could stay fit.

What? Grant scored the goal, he was playing on the left of a front 3, not midfield. Lati was picking him up until Fadz called him over to cover, which is the real mistake IMO.

I’d like to see Godden and Simms start, and then Wright come on for Godden after 60 mins or so. If Simms and Wright can click they will run teams ragged.
