Not disagreeing with you, just wonder whether the selectors would pick him for the final test on name and potential legacy instead of someone more suited. They shouldn't, but cricket selectors have a history of picking on reputation and which county you play for.

Another option might have been to bring Foakes in for Robinson and let Bairstow have the next test purely as a batsman. Of course it's not going to happen. Anderson will be playing at Old Trafford. Personally I would drop Bairstow for Foakes, but it's not going to happen.
