Only because he's already playing Eccles at RWB and I think he jut wanted to get minutes in legs for the cup game. If Eccles and Kelly are available to play CM, Eccles gets picked first IMO.

Why? Eccles played more than Kelly last year. If MR picks Kelly ahead of him then you've got to question that decision. Eccles is clearly good enough and still improving. Kelly is heading in the other direction apart from a purple patch at the end of last season. Play Eccles and leave Kelly out.

    Overson

Fair play to Overson to giving the club cash when the then owners couldn't be arsed to do it themselves. But at the same time he said himself he wanted nothing in return and was doing it for the love of the club. So his atitude since the takeover isn't a good look and gives an impression that...

Sounds like a euphemism for if the missus wants you to go down on her.

I'm guessing you're having a laugh with that suggestion. Eccles played 38 games last season, starting 29 of them. And we did pretty well last year from memory. So even if we did end up with one extra CM if we sold Gus I'd rather him in the squad than Kelly.

    Simms + Wright = ?

They've both got decent records in the past so hopefully they can get on the scoresheet soon to get them up and running and they start to show their ability.

But if we're missing that many chances how's it going to be when we lose the main force creating them? *Personally I think Simms and Wright will start scoring - they've both got decent records in the past.

    What’s it all about?

Well that depends on if you see that as a problem. Of course these people are young and impressionable and it can be a very confusing time in life. But at the same time allowing them to explore these while they're still not of an age to be able to make final decisions for themselves they can...

Even so he's publicly throwing the midfield under the bus so two expensive players save face. He may well be telling the strikers it's on them in the dressing room but he's still blaming others in the media, and for me that would arguably make it worse.

Not a great idea. If I was one of the midfielders I'd be a bit pissed if he was laying the blame on me to take the heat off two expensive signings.
