Fisher : CCFC would not own Ricoh Areana if Otium bought the freehold

You seen desperate for the team not to come home. On the plus side (for you), you'll get your wish. The council will not sell the freehold, because they have the sleepwalking majority on their side. So they will reject the deal, and CCFC will stay in Northampton until it either builds a new...

Fisher : CCFC would not own Ricoh Areana if Otium bought the freehold

What, for suggesting that keeping the football club and stadium businesses separate under a holding company would be perfectly normal? Really? Are you always this hysterical?

Fisher : CCFC would not own Ricoh Areana if Otium bought the freehold

Not unheard of no, but given that nobody of sane mind would ever buy a Ricoh based CCFC as a standalone entity, it's kind of a mute point. Any profit from a subsequent sale of the Ricoh (minus the club) would not come close to recouping the losses they have incurred bankrolling the football...

Fisher : CCFC would not own Ricoh Areana if Otium bought the freehold

Perhaps, but it beats cynical, wonky-eyed conspiracy theorist.

But they'd be owned by the same company - the comparison you are making doesn't stack up. See the post from KH above, TF has already addressed this point. Whether you choose to believe him is up to you, but the arrangement proposed is perfectly normal.

Fisher : CCFC would not own Ricoh Areana if Otium bought the freehold

Says who? Of course the club and arena management company would be kept separate (probably under a holding company) - that would be the case under any owner. That doesn't mean to say that the club would be charged rent and/or that revenues would not be channeled to the club from stadium...

A month to go, should be 4.5k minimum. Win our next few games and I reckon we might break a few records.

Is this debate still going on? Have a word with yourselves FFS. Once you've done that, go and buy a ticket for MK Dons away and stop being so wet.

Best player for Coventry from the 90s

Ndlovu was class, but Huckerby by far the better player for me. Huckerby also played at the top for a longer period with several clubs in a top flight full of star foreigners. You only have to look at how Norwich City fans worship Huckerby to understand what a great player he was. As for...

    Jordan Clarke

Totally agree. Often when youngsters make their full debut they look a bit lightweight, but he is quick and strong and didn't look out of place. Another great prospect.

    Walsall Sold Out

Last year we were allocated 3100 for a bank holiday monday game when blues were also playing wolves at st andrews. We also took 5000 to Blues in the cup a few years back on the same day that villa were hosting blackburn, so I don't think it is an issue. Moving ST holders may be an issue, but...

    Walsall Sold Out

I'm sorry, but there is no way that the cost of extra policing is greater than the revenues from 1000 extra ticket sales. Not only that, I suspect police advice is more likely to suggest the club make more away tickets available to avoid away fans going in the home end which I suspect will...

In praise of Waggot and Pressley

It remains the most baffling argument used by the more foaming-at-the-mouth anit-SISU types, the idea that they have 'milked' the club. Are there some mysterious money fairies based at Ryon who magic up the players' wages every week? You can accuse SISU of a lot of things - from financial...

    seen this?

Judging by the unwavering support they enjoy from some, that seems like a fair assumption. Some appear so gullible that they still believe they acted in the best interests of CCFC by forcing two separate 10 point deductions in a botched attempt at 'regime change'; an operation so laughably...

    The Twist and Shout Fanzine?

You could hear PM's sales pitch from the bottom of Swan Lane. He has one of those voices you immediately tune into. As for fanzines, nothing will ever beat the SBA in the days when fanzines were fresh, raw and actually quite important. Internet killed all that though, that and the fact Mick...
