    Grendels cronies

It's a gritty bank heist drama-comedy but I think I can shoehorn a pantomime horse in the scene where his girlfriend (Jennifer Aniston) cries and begs him to take care as she's pregnant and doesn't want him in prison for the birth.

    Grendels cronies

I thought 'Grendel' s Cronies' was a movie starring George Clooney, seems I was wrong. We have to put this right. I'll pull together a screenplay; can someone else get in touch with George?

A wasted opportunity that, IMO. Everything I enjoy about our play was missing and Derby were very beatable. <sad face emoji>.

He's rubbish isn't he? Keeps saying the same thing over and over, then says 'because' and follows with a non sequitur apropos of nothing.

Poor from us; Derby not much better. Need to change things.

    Dabo

I guess from context you meant unrealistic? Yes, of course, these figures depend upon them all having very good seasons. If Walker knocks in close to 20 this season he'll be worth much more than £7m though. Hamer is a banker I'd say, Sky commentators pick him out every time we play, so he's...

Whenever I hear "Wes Jobello" on commentary, I hear "Where's Jobello?" and I imagine him in a red and white horizontally striped jersey. I think he'd do well at Doncaster. You heard it here first. Panda etc. eat your hearts out.

    Joke Commentary Yesterday

It has to be unexpected to be funny (not claiming I'm funny, but I try). I read Jimmy Carr's book 'The Naked Jape' many years ago - it's a really good analysis of what makes jokes funny. And he's the master of the one-liner.

    Joke Commentary Yesterday

I quite like the fact that someone mildly incompetent like Clive can make a career of watching the game for free every week and talking. It gives me hope that I might yet, even as I approach 60, become an astronaut.

    Dabo

Yes, I agree. We can turn down low offers now. How much do we reckon? Could be as high as £10m IMO.

Actually, let's get rid of all the emojis. They express nothing that cannot be perfectly well communicated with words. And we avoid the confusion that I experience every time someone posts that their foot has been stood on. <winky face emoji>

I'd like to see this emoji's :ROFLMAO: title changed to "someone stood on my foot". Nick, you have my sign off to make the change.

    Dabo

I reckon Dabo is gone in the summer. A good season in the championship and he'll attract large bids from lower teams in the Premiership. It'll be the same as always: "We cannot stand in his way". If Robins is smart he's already scouting his replacement.

    Joke Commentary Yesterday

Please don't let's ruin this thread with politics. My fault entirely, but my intention was taking the piss out of thinking that a local commentary would be neutral - actually nothing to do with politics.

    January transfer window

I'm generally happy with the squad. I like Allen but I reluctantly accept now that he's not going to prosper in this league so I'd be happy to see him exchanged for someone young with potential from the lower leagues (or Walsh). And also maybe exchange Baka for the same (but a powerful, tall...

    Joke Commentary Yesterday

Party Political Broadcasts are the same - completely biased and no balance at all... it's all about how great their party is and how rubbish the others are. It makes me so cross.

He was offside a lot. He wasn't terrible but didn't do that much... however whilst he was on Norwich had most of the ball. Maybe.

Well done City. Cannot help thinking that if we'd played a full strength side, given their injuries, we might have won that - even with their dodgy penalty.
