Half season loan deals won't be costing us much in the grand scheme of things, and I think we are a much more attractive proposition for potential players with a 9th place finish vs 15th. I also imagine that Lampard was assured he'd have the opportunity to bring at least a few players in in Jan.

Unlikely but still possible. And finishing as high as we can is important, we are more likely to retain and attract players and fans with a top 10 finish rather than a 15th place damp squib.

I really like MVE and he can be one of the best full backs in the league, but has struggled for consistency this season. 10m is the magic number - would let him go for anything over that and we could reinvest in 2 replacements for him as we need more depth anyway. Not sure I see it happening...
