    Wages ?

Think it will be monthly but wages at all levels seem to be always quoted weekly.

    Wages ?

Then we have the possible emergence of home grown players, such as Maddison as an example. If they become a big hit as Callum Wilson did they will want higher wages, which in turns makes them more likely to be sold on early and probably below value. Which is why we need to get out of the...

    Wages ?

Which is about £100000 a year, but then there are the wages of the managerial staff, coaches etc and youth players. Suppose it all depends on the budget which the popular theory seems to be £2.5 million

    Wages ?

Get lots of comment on here when linked with possible signings about wages being too high. What is the average wage of a decent division 1 player and who would be our highest earner ? and on how much. ? How would our wage scale here compare with lets say Walsall for example.

Our chances of success this coming season...

Last season we lost to 5 teams who finished below us, had we won those games we would have been in the play-offs thats how tight this league is. i am certain we will have a better squad and be better all round than last season so i think we will atleast be knocking on the play-off door.

    Next SCG meeting

Who would chair any SCG meeting ? Fisher ? who seems to have dropped off the radar somewhat, Waggott ? who other than decorating and pot hole filling offers little new or maybe Mark Venus who now seems to be the main man behind the scenes.

What do you know about Haris Vuckic ?

I assured a "deal" was very much on the cards but as said with a new manager at Newcastle, i suspect any would be deal will now be in limbo. Having said that i would think there is plenty of respect between MaClaren and Mowbray so the loan route might be the way.

What do you know about Haris Vuckic ?

Newcastle have just appointed Steve MaClaren so things could change there. Will disregard this one.

Tony Mowbray closing in on making first signings

Be reasonable, Waggott has a load of painting and decorating to do at Ryton HQ and pot holes to fill, the lad has his work cut out nowadays.

    Next years GK

Certain we will be buying a goalie of some sort, but Burge is not a exactly a kid, 23 next birthday i bet Jim Blythe or Les Sealey had 150 games in the bag by the and in the top flight. He improved enough for me to be given the job to start with could always loan someone in if it is needed

Tony Mowbray closing in on making first signings

He's told us, most players are still on holiday, will be end of June at the earliest before things start to get sorted. If you look on the "in brief" on teletext most the news on there is about players signing new contracts at their clubs, few transfers as yet

    Lack Of Transfer Activity

This has happened here for the last few years and for various reasons, is it a SISU thing or just us being suspicious. Certain players will be signed and some will still be away on holiday and these negotiations take time, having said that it doesn't need Steve Waggott to open his trap and say a...

    Bury splashing the cash

How does Bury get round these financial fair play rules ? These players they are signing won't come cheap wages wise and i haven't checked but doubt their average gate despite their on the field success was higher than ours, unless Gigg Lane is a centre of entertainment nowadays where other than...

    Season Ticket Sales

Looks like less than 2000 have bought season tickets even at the early bird prices has to be good news because it indicates to me that despite a trickle of better news on how our club is to be run, 4 year shirt deals, nice new shop at the Tesco site, new manager confirmed, coaches, improvement...

New kit announced in the coming days

Quiet like A and H. Would like to keep away from stripes, or jazzy patterns. Tend to prefer the traditional plain Sky Blue ones and while i am at it i see nowt wrong with the sponsor logo, at worst goes with the colour schemes
