Transfer Rumour 25/26 Summer Transfer Window

It's important we try to utilise the loan market. I suspect we'll look to bring in a one or two to add competition but always difficult as parent clubs want them playing week in week out.

I think both are fine at this level. We desperately need more competition though as neither Lati or Binks are good enough.

Possibly. He spent millions on loan fees when at Derby though which was largely how he was able to bring those players in. I very much doubt DK will sanction that.

Transfer Rumour 25/26 Summer Transfer Window

We aren't spending anywhere near £15m on 4 positions. We've already reportedly brought in a LB on a free and we won't spend more money on another GK. Not if Dovin hopefully should be back by October/November. I would imagine we could pick up someone fairly decent who's OOC. Hopefully we invest...

Transfer Rumour 25/26 Summer Transfer Window

No. But I would've thought Simms will probably be moved on and there's a question of whether BTA will want to stay and remain a bit part player.

I think it depends what offers are tabled. I don't think I'd be keen to get rid of Wright as quickly as I would Simms or BTA.

You missed Wright out. Assuming he stays one of BTA and Simms will probably go.

Obviously not... Liverpool's cheapest season ticket starts at around that.

    Evening form

Basically against teams that have sat back and we've just held onto the ball because we physically don't know what else to do with it.

Wilson isn't really all that much better to be honest and he genuinely can't kick a ball to save his life. Both should go in the summer.

Given his track record, and quite extensive and alarming criminal background (all alleged of course), you'd probably say no but that's football for you.

    Sorry Mrs Parkinson.

    Revenue

Who said that? They were always going to smash L2 given the players they had at their disposal and Parkinson has had success in L1 with Colchester, Bradford and Bolton and the league suits his style so not really sure what or who you're referring to. The Championship is a completely different...

Not just their squad. Parkinson is a dinosaur of a manager. Can get away with it in NL/L2/L1 but in the Championship he'll be exposed.

What does it contradict? I'm well aware of his MPG you've bored most of us to death with your infallible argument enough for one afternoon. Having an MPG of 3.6 (all comps) this season doesn't mean if he started over a full season he's guaranteed to score 15ish goals, it's a very rough...

    Ellis simms

People aren't saying that though, you've just pulled that from thin air. The problem with Simms is that he simply can't be relied upon and that's been proven over an extended period. Even last season his form was erratic. A positive 14/15 game period was sandwiched in between a 1 game in 7...

I'm not discounting the goals, I've stated that already? That doesn't mean they're not anomalies in the data though. It was a significantly easier standard of opposition than what we traditionally come up against week on week by a long, long stretch. Any argument that claims MPG is bulletproof...

    Ellis simms

Not really. Ultimately, you can only score what's in front of you. But it's a rubbish metric to use for the point you're trying to prove, especially when there's complete anomalies such as a hattrick vs Maidstone in there. Hence why context needs to be applied to the data otherwise it's...

Personally I absolutely detest MPG as a metric. It completely lacks context.

Match Thread Plymouth Argyle - Coventry City Match Thread - Monday 21st Apr

This is my issue with the high line. Against teams which deploy a low block and go long I physically can't understand the logic in setting up that way. All you're doing is creating a massive chasm in the opponent's final third and placing greater pressure on the backline to clear up when balls...
