    Serious question(s)

Well I can't quite bring myself to hurt the team in my efforts to get at SISU. I'll just have to keep going, I love them too much. Incidently, I will be happy with a shot against Leicester!

But bear in mind that Clive Platt ripped them to shreds in that game! Was that 2 goals and 3 assists for Platt? Christ Norwich were bad. Of interest, Fox who smacked in the FK was promptly signed by Lambert when he got the Norwich job and was superb last season. And if he can get The Tree...

    The "Gael" Hype

Well check my avatar..I got it as soon as I got back from the Nuneaton game :D There is a massive load of analysis by myself and others in the Leamington thread a few pages back. I wrote loads on him and I think it's spot on (if I do say so meself :D ) so I aint gonna write it again. I'll find...

    Free agents

He'd be a stunning signing for us given out plight. Unlikely, though.

Yeah, I'd take him. Tbh he was the one who stood out on the list of free agents as being affordable, possible and maybe usefull. Possibly the one AT means when he said a player was "under the radar" of the media. That is however based entirely on good performances versus CCFC, meaning I welcomed...

Hang on, what additions to the squad? 2 'keepers? Hahahahahahahahaha :(:(:( :blue:

    Lee Carsley

Good job it aint 7 subs! Sven aint happy about it though. Him and Poyet had a right old moan on SSN yesterday.

    Lee Carsley

I'm with PVA, it's a no-brainer. Get him registered as a player and up to match fitness. He's better than the signings we won't be making. Nothing to lose. And I think he could do a decent job-every side needs experienced old heads, and up until November he was one of our most effective players...

Can somebody somewhere please rescue us soon!

As a season ticket holder I'll be doing just that and backing the players 100%. It isn't there fault we have the weakest squad I can ever remember. There's some good players, but we are painfully short of a class act like Westwood and King and just don't have any depth or experience. I'll try...

    Players in Squad/Injuries?

Platt was injured and against Leam looked ruddy atrocious. I think he may even be behind Wilson and Jeffers in the pecking order now. And that makes him pretty bad! Wheras Deegans injury setback is a real blow, he was looking superb against Leamington. Stood out as being a class above.

    A.l.f

Y'see? It wouldn't be the worse signing. Great for the merchandising, shirts with name on, etc. Could be just the franchise signing we need to boost our Brand Image! Time for a new thread in "Ask Leonard"? I hear that he'll be answering the questions there sometime before the end of the millenium.

    another miscommunication

And we haven't even been given a formal explanation of why they changed strategy, we just have to assume it's the credit crunch. But we don't know for sure and we never will. Even Ranson doesn't know-I think his words were "for some reason, SISU's plan changed". The communication from these...

    Aaron phillips?

Seems right-footed, although the best thing I've seen him do was when he cut in from the right onto his left when he was dribbling at pace against Leamington. Although his dad seemed as good with his right as his left, and one of the most versatile players we've ever had. Just watch his...

Macca, I'm hoping that is sarcasm, but if so it may well be your dryest post ever!

    Sphinx away

Given how badly some players faded against Norwich, they need more minutes under their belts. Boothroyd was a terrible manager, but what gave us the edge in the early months of his reign was that we were usually the fittest side on the pitch. AT is known to be very relaxed on such matters..it...

Am I the only one VERY worried on Murphy

I thought he was a bit rubbish before we signed him, but hope he proves me wrong. And I never feel confident signing players from relegated sides. Wheras we might be about to find out that, actually, Westwood was keeping in the division every season. You don't know what you've got until it's gone.

    Deal edges closer

Agreed. Very off topic. And yes, red sauce is better-but I don't like it when people call it that. It's ketchup.

    Starting XI next sat

I know Keogh hasn't been playing CB, but he SHOULD be. Then we'd at least be a bit more solid with McPake in the middle. We need a proper defender, who actaully defends. I don't class Richard Wood as close to McPake in quality. He gurantees at least one goal against a game when he starts in...

    Freddie leaves on crutches

Yeah, a safety measure..if Platt had played, no-one would be turning up next week! Does anyone know what is up with Bell? 'cos I make him our 2nd best midfielder. And more to the point, if he's out, then Baker + one of the kids will be our centre-mid...we are in deep doo-doo. Sven must be...
