    SET PIECES - Goal Famine

Darn right! One of the people I sit with is obsessed with us over-hitting corners. He asks why we don't have anyone beyond the far post waiting for the inevitable.

Ian, that perpetual first post game caller on CWR every match

Something we really need to remember with so many youngsters in the side. Sometimes we need to have a little faith in the managers and coaches who work with them all week and see their potential. I'm thinking about Hussey in particular. It's a different level entirely, but Danny Wellbeck was...

    The Football League Show Highlights

Too right. Lots of quality there, especially the big centre-back Dawson who's at WBA now-they got him from non-league. And the gaffer? He was my no.1 choice to replace Coleman or Boothroyd-Keith Hill. Doing well at Barnsley.. The other highlight was seeing another guy we've been linked with...

    The Football League Show Highlights

I love when this is repeated all-night on Freeview :D. Only L1 and L2 this week, but still plenty of CIty-related bits of interest. I've mentioned elsewhere, another cracking Madine goal-struck low from the edge of the area. Not bad for a big target-man. Other TFLS highlights include...

Off-topic, but what a goal by Madine today. Shame SISU wouldn't cough up the extra 50k when we had the chance

MICHAEL KIGHTLY - CCFC Interest ???

After working with an eulogising Wolves fan all day, I really want Kightly now even if he has one leg hanging off! She says he is a wide right player but Mad Mick generally gave him license to roam. He has mostly been on the right for Wolves, but was switched to the left not long before the...

Ian, that perpetual first post game caller on CWR every match

I particularly like the way Juggy always apologises for being completely pissed last time he rang up after a match, then says "but I said it as I saw it". Yeah, through the eyes of someone who is hammered! It's understandable I suppose..going to every away City game without a drink would be a...

How will we deal with relegation?

Listening to the end of Charlton-Tranmere today was interesting. They're unbeaten this season but they've got through a couple of managers and one hell of a lot of players since relegation. Probably a similar sized and profile club to ours, they've invested but generally in free's or promising...

    Clingan Injured

He's only been shuffling around in front of his back 4 in his own half of late, probably a similar amount of exertion involved :p That said, he was our best player in the first month of the season. Even good players get dragged down by poor results.

    Michael Quirke where are you?

Yeah, well, he didn't know that he could only sign 3 players

A Clingan injury means we are fooked?

Still disagree with this view, though. He's been pants of late, I accept that, but he was still carrying us before the last few games. The problem we've got is that the best passing football we played went through Sammy, Bell and McSheffrey. Sammy started good and has gone downhill with the...

A Clingan injury means we are fooked?

Genius mate, just typed almost the same thing about Gael, his best position and his understanding with Deegs in the "Clingan Injured" thread :) PSYCHIC.

    Michael Quirke where are you?

McIndoe can afford to buy his own team! Why didn't SISU try to get him to invest? Buy him some shares in the casino and he'd be there in a shot...

    Clingan Injured

If Gael comes in and rediscovers his preseason form he'd contribute more than Sammy has past few games. The only way he'll get to play his natural game is if Sammy is out-and as I said in preseason, he and Deegan seemed to be exactly on each others wavelength.

Ian, that perpetual first post game caller on CWR every match

GOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAALLLLLL!!!!! Sorry, I know it's off topic, but we don't get to do that around here very often thesedays....

Ian, that perpetual first post game caller on CWR every match

A memorable game...David Bell, on comeback from injury and without any match fitness, had an absolute blinder. He even tackled and beat his man, too!

MICHAEL KIGHTLY - CCFC Interest ???

No, he said something where he implied he'd heard something from the Wolves side. And he did that "excited but a little bit smug and patronising" voice that he usually does when he know's something that we don't :p

MICHAEL KIGHTLY - CCFC Interest ???

He was right wing but switched to the left to cut in on his right-just like Jarvis. He was great in my FM 2005 Thurrock side. He was an AMR in that. Got him in the BSS and he was with me all the way to The Championship, along with Norwich's Simeon Jackson and Peterbo's Lee Frecklington. So...

    Michael Quirke where are you?

I liked him too but honestly, if he was all that, why is he filed under "where are they now?" Surely someone in the lower leagues-even nonleague-would have snapped him up?
