Match Thread Queens Park Rangers - Coventry City Match Thread - Saturday 30th Sep

Back 3 doing well. Not sure about Latibeudiere at RWB and Da Silva looks like he will lose the ball every time he gets it. He always releases the ball late. Allen has done well and the only spark going forward. Thomas has a decent cross on him. Dare I say it, the ball down the line, which Simms...

Absolute joke the way we ended that. So many individual mistakes. First half decent, second half very poor. Wright should have finished it off from a couple of feet, but team offered little up until that chance. Why Robins doesn't put an extra midfielder on to sure things up? Should have taken...

Disciplined first half. Some decent performances. Kelly and Eccles have controlled the midfield. Ayari did well to be in the right place for goal but need more from him second half. Simms looks like he has an extra yard of pace than a few weeks ago. Thomas hasn't had a good half. Think...

    All the moans about strikers

The issue causing concern is the quality observed so far, given the huge outlay and lengthy contracts. Some signings are more of a gamble than others. Wright is a massive gamble. It is fair to say that 11 goals from 7 games is okay, but when only 1 of those comes from Simms and Wright combined...

Probably could add Ayari to the list.

The only players to justify starting from recent performances are Binks, Latibeudiere, Kelly and Godden. I would add Allen to the list too but doubt he will be fit enough to start.

I can understand the Simms transfer. A young player with some Premier League experience and goals scored in the championship. What has really disappointing me, as much as not seeing technical quality, is his lack of running. When he came on as a sub a few games ago he was running less than...

    Wilson V Collins

Wasn't impressed by Collins pre-season and v Wimbledon but haven't been impressed by Wilson this season either. Both gave me heart in the mouth moments.

I was closely watching the movement of Kelly and Eccles. Kelly was always showing for the ball and getting into good positions to receive. Eccles movement was lacklustre as though he wanted to be seen to be looking but didn't really want it. Eccles looked low on confidence. He improved a little...

When we lose star players, we have to be stronger as a unit. We can't afford any player to have poor performances. Unfortunately, we had exactly that from several players. Wilson, McFadzean, Palmer and Wright were dreadful. Eccles not much better but finished a bit better. Kitching also poor debut.

As it stands I don't think Wright is an improvement on Walker or Baka. Alarmingly poor business. Hope I am proved wrong.

We look so slow and static. No ideas when on our right side. Wright's hold up play is worrying. It looks like he can only play with the ball in behind. Godden hardly touched the ball but instinctive finish shows why he starts. Da Silva has played well but for me Liam Kelly has been excellent. He...

Match Thread Hull (A) Friday 15th September

You would have thought staff could have gauged Palmer was jet lagged. Ayari was definitely flagging but Sakamota would have been the better choice, assuming Allen is still a week or two off. As to why Palmer would struggle, when Ladibeudiere did not, firstly people respond differently, and...
