    Coronavirus

This is what I don’t get - this phrase is giving it an incredibly serious nature. Then the response ‘appears’ to not be in sync. They made a point of saying schools should not be closed at this stage... but kids are the most likely age group to SPREAD the virus. They are the most tactile...

    Coronavirus

Is this enough? Maybe at this stage but when does that change? We were told at school today that it is 95% likely we will be shut down within 2 weeks and to prepare for Y11 to have access to everything online.

I think people are reasonable in asking the question when the PM comes out in a press conference he went to Kettering hospital and shook hands with a load of Coronavirus sufferers when it was total bollocks. If the PM portrays an image of farcical lunacy - is it any wonder that a) people...

    Coronavirus

Firstly - I am glad she is on the mend. That said - does anyone else find it odd that out of only 382 cases confirmed that one of them happens to be a minister (health no less) that in theory would be privy to far more information than the rest of us? I’m not claiming any kind of conspiracy...

    Corona in reverse

I actually think if it was something that affects kids like that there would be less in the press about it.

    Coronavirus

If they can - they should hold off until as near to Easter hols as possible. That way if there is a extended time of schools being closed then some of it will fall in when they were closed anyway, and would have been off or made other arrangements. I think it will happen - just when is the thing.

    Coronavirus

He might have a point (by default) at this stage, but seasonal flu doesn’t have an infection rate that increases by a third every 2 days - which is the current rate here in the UK.

    New Labour Leader

At this time - there should be no mention of re-joining the EU. The population wanted Brexit as a majority (even though I feel this is a backward step for us as a country) We got hammered at GE19 for not respecting the vote. This will get thrown out there come the next election and it will be...

    Coronavirus

Assuming it does become much larger scale - it will be almost a month until the numbers get huge. And we’ve already hit apocalyptic panic.

    Coronavirus

My dad is only in his mid 60’s but he has COPD - which puts him at risk. If and when the time comes where he has to self-isolate I worry about trying to get him stuff he will need because a lot of selfish bastards have decided to strip the shops of everything.

    Where did he go?

OK... so I remember a guy called Realist on one of the other forums. He ended up going to prison I believe for forging bank notes. Not sure if the same guy but might explain the absence....
