    Ben Sheaf Assist

At the time I thought it a ricochet, but the camera behind the goal makes it look like an instanteous reaction and flick to Gyokeres. In which case it is top quality awareness. He did similar to feed Hamer in to score in a home game last year, can't remember which.

    21/22 Summer transfer mega-thread

Unless owned by a 'sugar daddy' all football clubs are businesses requiring some kind of return. It's arguable that only Man City & PSG are not run as businesses. Liverpool & Man Utd certainly are, as are the German clubs. Barcelona are learning that they are too. Before somebody suggests it...

Video Goal Cam | Nottingham Forest

Before I saw this, I wondered if Sheaf's pass to Gyokeres was a lucky ricochet, but it looks deliberate.

I don't think Sheaf got near enough to foul him, and would have been ill advised to anyway. He was tracking back to fill the space left by Maatsen in particular. No fault to Gyokeres - he lost the ball miles from our goal.

That first goal was a catalogue of errors and showed why O'Hare still has some improvement to do in his awareness. O'Hare nutmeged the Forest defender, but opted to fire the ball into the middle, although it was well covered by defenders and the one City player was on the other side of them...

Perhaps clubs can see what some deluded Cov fans could not - he was basically L 2 level. And L 2 clubs are all broke

I am going for the classic Coventry City result. Concede a goal in the first half, fight back in the second half with a latish equalizer so 1-1. The first 11 is marginally stronger than last year and now more experienced at this level, even if the back up is paper thin. If Sheaf plays as well...

    Forest

Prepare to be dissappointed. They don't just come automatically back - they have got out of the habit in the meantime, and have found other pursuits to fill time. It might change if we threatened to get in the play offs. But why suddenly go to watch a struggling team? People do have other...

Whats Left/ Who do you want ( within reason)

we need some younger legs in defence - Hyam, MacFadz both slow and Cranie is 35. If not Osti, then Osti-like. Elsewhere I would like to see some outgoings - to free up a bit of cash I am hoping that some of the youth players come through - Bayliss and Shipley were the last to become first...

Loads of crap european signings 1/2 out of 4 - Kasta, Jobello, Hillsner & DaCosta. DaCosta gets a half. That geographical area was touted as being Badlan'sarea of expertise. It was almost certainly his project. 4 slots in the squad tied up. We would have been better with a couple of old pros...

    Bright

I remain highly dubious of Bright's ability to be sufficiently disciplined to fit into a team framework. Previously we were mid ranking L 1 and it could be indulged. Now we are scraping along at the bottom of the Championship, I'm not so sure....but I know nothing. He will be cheap, so the...

    Transfer Rumour Folarin Balogun

He is when you factor in circumstances - owner, financial, ground and the league is way more competitive now than then. The League 1 promoted side with Walsh, Godden and O'Hare would beat Hill's League 2 (Championship) side 7 times in 10.
