    Take a bow CCFC Academy

But I do mind better than zero Championship level level players for the Club. Altho Eccles might do. This is just excuses, excuses, excuses for something fans have a romantic attachment to but costs money Even tho' they are currently talking to Crewe about setting one up, Brentford have got to...

    Take a bow CCFC Academy

Bayliss has now been evaluated by four clubs - Cov, Preston, Wigan and Shrewsbury. I think he has found his level. I am disappointed too, as I thought he would go higher.

    Take a bow CCFC Academy

'Take a bow' whoever was running the Academy 10-14 years ago, because since Maddison they have delivered diddly squat. Bayliss (league 1 level eventually), Shipley (definitely League 1 level). Eccles and Burroughs (Jury's out). Not much use to you if you are a poverty stricken club playing one...

I shall be very sad when we lose this group of players. Over three years the squad has been gradually refined and improved - Max and Baka anyone? The key players may have come from elsewhere but they have honed their skills under Robins - O'Hare, Vik and Sheaf were not unwanted by their parent...

My memory is that at the very beginning a number of people were not that impressed, but he was being used as a sub in the main. However very quickly the raw talent was spotted. I remember Grendel saying at end Feb / early March that there was something about Vik, and that he might be worth a...

Are Palmer and O'Hare the new Gerrard and Lampard? Anyway I have always assumed that Palmer was earmarked as the man to play behind the striker once O'Hare was sold

    Match Thread Wigan Match Thread

Well the fans on here were almost without exception utterly despondent when they saw the team sheets for both the Blackburn and Watford games. And look what heppened. It follows that the high spirits with which today's team has been greeted will be firmly shat upon by Wigan. 0-2 to Wigan

Wasps going into admin & the impact on CCFC

Unlike the people that immediately posted after this, I think this is a fair summation. New landlord, a bit better, but otherwise status quo. However SISU committing less cash. For what its worth a good friend who is a director of a League 2 team told me recently that it is not uncommon...

    The dom hyam sale

The one thing I like about the Dom Hyam sale is his personal story. Released by Reading iirc, joing us just as we dropped into League 2 and when we were very definetely on our uppers. Because of injuries to Willis, he had to play in the first games. Rises with us, and is now on the verge...

Five games and only two goals conceded. You should not get relegated on that form if it continues. Robins was forced into what was obvious to all that today notwithstanding the best back three is Doyle - MacFadz-Panzo. Big leaks of goals have ceased once Hyam went - (dons tin hat)

Wrong way round. Buyer thinks they might pick up a bargain, and our interest is in anew buyer above all else.

Dom Hyam - Blackburn bid ?

Time to max out on our investment. The defence was the problem last year, particularly in the air. If the conversation started at the beginning of the month, is it too optimistic to assume a good quality loan has been sorted out. MacFadz's days are numbered as well.

Now. Dont get too excited. But...

I have no inside info, but I suspect that the reappointment of MR coincided with two other related things - JS getting more involved after the relegation to L2 - at the expense of her boot boy Fisher. I think she has taken a more strategic view of the Club, obviously encouraged by MR's success...

    SISU ready to sell?

    1. It took SISU 12 years and a load of managers to work out how to run a football club. Just when they have sort of cracked it they move on.... 2. I suspect where we are is optimum SISU - mid-table Championship. The risk - reward in order to pursue Prem status is not in their mindset. I...
