Are we talking about a second spike in the first wave at this point rather than a second wave? All of those grouping we’ve had have been outside in generally good weather - outside the virus has a reduced transmission rate. The test will be when we start to have en-masse gatherings that are...

If they came out and said they were adjusting the guidance and actions at each level due to further information and scientific evidence you could kind of understand it as it’s an ever changing scenario - but it’s just more on the hoof thinking. Just be clear and upfront - it’s not difficult.

The problems in education are so vast - you could probably start an entire thread on it. Just one small example of something that is contributing to the inequality is class sizes. One of the positive things about independent schools is how small their classes are in comparison to state...

Other than Teams or some subject specific website (we use something called Hegarty Maths) then it’s very difficult. Any student that is off-line it’s near on impossible to track. Some schools and subjects have gone for teaching new content - we went for consolidation of existing knowledge...

I don’t disagree with you at all, but there are still barriers for those that are keen to engage. Some people believe that the responsibility for a child’s education lies SOLELY with the school, and it’s hard enough having to address this when school is open as normal - never mind in the middle...

Once you move to remote online learning then it does start to create issues. Access to the internet, houses sharing only 1 or 2 devices (especially if parents are working at home too) - the fact the government had to suggest they’d fund equipment for kids at home means that it was going to be a...

What's everyone watching while on 'lockdown'?

20 years ago I worked for Levi’s and we spent one afternoon scrolling through the worldwide phone list and discovered a colleague that worked in the Asia territory called Fanny Pong.

That amount of money is the largest - what he fails to mention is that is because the numbers of people...
