    Favourite Band ?

I said one choice ! It is hard though just choosing one band.

    Hendrix Album

A mate of mine got a double Stones album last week for a quid from a charity shop. Got all their hits on it !

    Favourite Band ?

All music fans have bought records and been to concerts. But if you were asked who is your favourite ever band who would you pick ? I've got several to choose from like ACDC, Stones, Sabbath, Motorhead, Skynyrd, and others. But my number one has to be, Free. I never saw them live but have...

What are you currently listening to?

Been listening to a compilation CD of sixties hits. On it is one by Pitney called : Looking Through The Eyes Of Love. Not a bad song !

    Hendrix Album

No it wasn't a rare album. I was looking through mine tonight, and discovered I've got 2 ACDC vinyl albums, but without their sleeves ! Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap, and Highway To Hell. I haven't a clue where the sleeves have gone, no way can I sell them like that !

What are you currently listening to?

I'm listening to Fire And Water by Free. Every time I put my favourite album on I'm back to 1970 in my bedroom down Walsgrave, with my mum shouting up " turn it down ! " Great memories.

    Hendrix Album

Her Hendrix album that sold for £150.00 had a tatty sleeve cover. So obviously some collecters aren't too fussed.

Poll: How long will Trump be President?

America is a basket case so Trump will fit in nicely. Throughout history many of their presidents have been sex maniacs and dodgy, but the people accepted that, so we all know Trump has had affairs and been up to all sorts of dodgy dealings, but he'll go from strength to strength. He is a joke...

    Hendrix Album

Watched an old edition of Flog It earlier today, the programme that gets people to sell stuff they no longer want. A woman had a large collection of Jimi Hendrix records, but brought along just one album, Axis : Bold As Love. Anyway it went to auction and sold for £150.00 so a good result. I...

Highfield Road Or The Ricoh ?

How about they play that heavy metal classic by Russ Abbot at games : Atmosphere ? On second thoughts !

Highfield Road Or The Ricoh ?

So it looks like Highfield Road wins over the Ricoh. Not surprising really as it was our home for decades. But its like still having feelings for an ex girlfriend who's moved on, you have to accept its over and move on too. But to me Highfield Road is Coventry City, its where Jimmy Hill came...

Highfield Road Or The Ricoh ?

He said he goes in the afternoons, gets cheap deals or something. But once he said the lights came on at the interval and an ex girlfriend of his was with a bloke just a couple of rows behind him. He decided to leave then, now that would be uncomfortable !

Highfield Road Or The Ricoh ?

Fair enough Otis. A mate of mine often goes to the cinema on his own to watch a movie. I've never done that I'd feel a bit odd to be honest. But he loves it and couldn't give a toss what anybody thinks !

Highfield Road Or The Ricoh ?

Sorry Otis but a match day experience should not just be about the match in my opinion. Yes the game is important, but the meeting up with fellow fans before a match for a drink and some banter adds to the day out surely ? When we were at Highfield Road and my dad was alive we'd arrange the...

Highfield Road Or The Ricoh ?

Talking before and after the Plymouth game about the whole football experience on a match day. Did the group of fans I was with enjoy it more at Highfield Road than now at the Ricoh ? All but one said it was better at Highfield Road, and I too preferred it back then too. I still enjoy myself...

    WoS Wrestling

Wrestling in the 60's/70's was massive on the telly, Saturday afternoon's and everything stopped when it was on. When I was a kid my dad used to take me to the Drill Hall in the city centre on Saturday nights to watch wrestling, it is where the SkyDome is now. It is crap now with no characters...

Security a bit over the top?

I had a steward sat next to me and another in the row in front of me. My mates thought it was hilarious. And the same at the first home game too, and got checked over numerous times. I've never seen it like this at the Ricoh, definetly over the top.

    Ben Stokes

I'm not bitter at all as I deserved my punishment, but these blokes are very lucky I reckon in getting away with sod all. I got involved in a brawl in the Acorn pub in the mid 70's, it ended up outside, and by the time the coppers turned up it had ended. Anyway I gobbed off a bit as did my mate...

    Ben Stokes

I got into trouble in the wrong time I reckon. If you had a fight in a pub or outside in the 70's/80's and you got arrested, you went to court and if found guilty usually got sent down,or got a suspended sentence. Now not much happens. Not advocating anyone having a punch up, but if you do they...
