At the end of the day you never know what you are going to get when you sign or appoint anybody. Isn't that what he is saying? He's defending the possible appointment of Hockaday against those writing him off as crap by using Silletts success here as an example.

Well Hockaday would certainly take up the caretaker role initially, if he does okish he could be appointed as an interim manger until the summer when we can then get in a long term replacement.
