And that's it, it's because people have lost patience. Really, we all knew we were in massive trouble before a ball was kicked. But most hoped that, by some miracle, we'd be OK. It was denial, as football is all about hope. I just couldn't see it with the squad we have-too little depth, too many...

I also don't agree with the "mistakes" view. The majority of these "errors" are substitiutions, which later turned out to be injured players (Cody, Hussey, Deegan not fit enough to come on, etc). You can claim he's been wrong according to your opinion, but there is no factual basis for this...

That's not what I said: I said anyone who thinks we are only missing King is deluded. Don't make like the put-upon minority, the vast majority are shouting "Thorn out". I consider this typical of football fans-as soon as a team is stuggling, it's "blame the manager". Lots of people have...

Well why did the board promise the same budget as last season? Listen: they have budgeted to fail. They are the least supportive owners of a club in our division. I base this on us having the lowest wage budget. Are we the smallest club in the division? No. How come Barnsley et al can afford to...

Cheers Jack, I was going to mention Doyle, Carsley and McIndoe too. That right there is a hefty chunk of wages that were not reinvested in a couple of experienced pro's to make us competitive.

Ground too big for us - can we get out of it?

What about if we're in L2 and playing in fromt of gates of 4,000? Can we move to Boro or Leam then if we do up their grounds a bit? It's what AFC Wimbledon did with Kingstonian's ground, and they're in the League now...:p

Just stating my opinion to contradict the many who disagree with me, Otis.

It's also worth pointing out that John Sillett has given his backing to Thorn. Nice to know that a man whose opinion I respect massively sees things the same way as us "Thorn in" idiots!

Our squad (& fans who harp on about no other manager being able to do better...)

Nope, disagree with the OP, I think they are all confortably better than ours, particularly in terms of experience. There may be a few kids getting games, but they are surrounded by experience-and quality-and not expected to play all the time because there's no one else like our kids. The...

Too many people have unrealistic expectations. If you think we only miss King, you are very much deluded. We've had a squad that finished 18th stripped of 4 of its best players, as well as others, and not adequately replaced them. This is the 24th best squad in The Championship. Go figure.

2 questions to ask before sacking AT....

You always say this! If AT had the resources Reid had, we would not be in this mess.

We have no chance of staying in this division who ever is in charge. Simple as that.

    Gary Speed dead

Given just how much of a problem it is in cricket-a less pressurized sport, if anything-you have to think that there is all sorts behind closed doors that we never hear about. But then, it's probably no more an issue in football than it is throughout our population as a whole. It's even easier...

    Gardener

From what I saw on TFLS, he likes to make great late runs into the area. Oh and Carl Baker delivered 2 superb curling crosses from deep and looked good on the ball. If he's crossing like that I'd say 442 with him RW NOW, Gardner MC with freedom to get forwards.

    Proposed Staff/Squad Changes

As far as Freddy goes, the interested sides speak volumes: Plymouth, Bournemouth and Cheltenham. And he didn't pass the fitness test for one of those as he had a convenient injury when it would have been due. I think he'll go back to Southend next season. AND score against us, of course.

    We need an experienced manager!

Agreed Paxman. I was just thinking how fickle most fans are. Many thought Aidy was the business when we were 4th-credit to a mate of mine who stuck to his guns about him being a one-trick-pony even then. It's why I constantly restate my opinion-Thorn has my backing, as he does the 3 people I...

    Eric Black?

I'm a huge Black fan, and it did occur to me yesterday that with Bruce under pressure he could be available. But then I thought: 1) He seems a pleasant and intelligent fellow. So, he'd run a mile from us, and with good reason. 2) This is a bit like getting dumped, being on a long losing streak...

And Nigel Adkins is a physio, but he's taken Southampton to top of our league. I think we'd be top 6 if AT had his resources. Jose Mourinho was Bobby Robson's interpreter, FFS..I'm a manager in my business. But I've only just been promoted. I suppose I'm "not a real manager?" Oh, and if SISU...
