Who's been are best and worst manager since relegated???

Sarcastic to the end Macca, but if this was asked last season, you genuinely would have had a fair few saying Thorn after Black, including myself. Not many will be prepared to admit that now, though.

Clingan & Cranie Offered £8k A Week Deals

S'funny how things are only undisclosed when it suits them, eh? We should start playing the Empire Strikes Back music now Ken's in the dugout as I don't think there's been a worse bastard, fictional or otherwise, since Darth Vadar.

Thorn will be sacked today surely?

Similar? I'll have what you're drinking, pal!

Thorn will be sacked today surely?

Yeah, and their budgets were 10 times his...maybe more!

Clingan & Cranie Offered £8k A Week Deals

We cannot afford average Championship players like these, we''re a small L1/L2 club, remember?

    CCFC Statement - Hmmmm, really?

Y'see, I think the whole "balance the books" thing is entirely unrealistic-especially given how we've been set up with overheads for a Premiership club, rather than a L1/L2 club. The further we get from the top flight, the more entrenched our financial problems will become. No matter how much...

Thorn will be sacked today surely?

Ken for manager! "Ken, Ken, he's our man, if he can't save us, no one..will!"

    CWR Tonight

Everything SISU is short-term, aside from their stay here, unfortunately for us .

    The Deluded interview

They did say that the budget for this season would be the same as last! Clouting has already said "Budgets change, that's the reality of business". Yet now Ken is denying they ever said it! I couldn't be angrier than I am right now, all I knew was he was gone but not quite really, and I get home...

    The Deluded interview

Only heard the end bit. He spoke utter crap in that segment. I really can't believe the excuse that he hasn't heard what John Mutton said, "so it's very difficult to comment on". Well if it isn't an excuse, it is shockingly negligent. As chairman of the club it is vital that he is aware of what...

Sky Blues stay up by default ?

Well I did joke in the summer that the only way we'll stay up is if a few sides go into administration. I always figured that this was SISU's "survival strategy" to some extent; it fits in neatly with all their stuff about living within their means..they were right all along! When do we unveil...

Sky Blues stay up by default ?

I didn't hear about Bristol C, are they in trouble too now?

Bruce sacked Black takes reigns !!

I bet a lot of their fans react by saying "he's not a manager"! But good luck to him if he gets the chance-I always kinda gave him credit for anything Bruce achieved anyway.

Bottom 6 clubs: surely we are where we belong?

When it's laid out like that, no, we aren't even close to matching those sides for quality or experience. I really am amazed that many cannot grasp this. That Pompey squad is frightening, as is Forest's! The only one close to ours is Bristol City's, but they've still got a bit more than us with...

    Easy, Thorn.

    Thorn out - now!!

I get the feeling a lot of those contracts were to do with the board trying to increase the clubs sale value. Even if they weren't, the argument that has been made is that he's trying to hold onto what ever he's got, as they'll be replaced with even worse players-or not replaced at all!

Our squad (& fans who harp on about no other manager being able to do better...)

Perhaps; but so were Keane, Fox, Dann, etc. Anyone any good leaves eventually, that's how it works when you're a crappy little provincial club. But you never get anywhere unless you buy them when they're unknown. The whole idea was to build a squad of improving players with potential before they...

    Thorn out - now!!

But if the manager is not responsible for relegation, why should he take the blame? I think it'd be just like Derby when they got rid of Davies: they never stood a chance of survival that season. The board rolled the dice and got in Jewell-who promptly spent a load of money and actually produced...

Our squad (& fans who harp on about no other manager being able to do better...)

And yet the original SISU plan was to buy a whole team of them-that way gates go up, the team goes up, and you get the keys to the Prem TV Money treasure chest. Alternatively, you cut, cut, cut until the outgoings you can control are at the bare minimum-but those that are fixed stay just as...

    Thorn out - now!!

It was Paxman who originally said he thought Harrison was to blame. To be fair, he said it long before people had turned on Thorn. But again, we don't really know-pooing in cups aside, he has a fantastic reputation in the game as a coach. Here's a theory-maybe the side that finished 18th and...
