    Fruit pastilles going vegan

I’m always perplexed by vegetarians that each fish. It’s meat from the sea.

    Question of sport trio axed.

Speaking of the Gammonati, Alan Brazil nearly gave himself an aneurysm this morning because they’ve tweaked the Fruit Pastilles recipe to make them Vegan Friendly. Standard ‘if they don’t like them just don’t eat them’ response will have filled the snowflake brigade full of early morning bravado.

    Worst Ever Kit

Away kit - For me it has to be this one. Not because it was particularly bad on its own, but more because it replaced what has been my favourite ever away kit (the yellow one from 2012-14) and it was such a disappointment.

    Question of sport trio axed.

I think they should scrap it all and just replace it with this ham flavoured version of Celebrity Squares. Proper British quiz shows for proper Brits.

This isn’t a bad idea but there need to be some clear guidelines and assurances. For example, I have a child that was classified as ‘vulnerable’. If the decision is made that she has to be protected by not being at school, what support or protection do I or the missus get to ensure we are not...

    Americans and the holocaust

There’s got to be something in what they are taught in these subjects at school. I tried to have a quick glance at their History curriculum and their doesn’t appear to be any clear signposting to the Holocaust as part of their WW2 study (albeit a very quick glance so by no means definite)

We’re only saying what we are experiencing on the ground day to day. We are 13 days into the new school year and national attendance is at 85%. A plan needs to be in place to arrest this situation.

Depends if you can find another country so utterly incapable of managing this pandemic generally, or specifically a testing system that really needed to be robust enough to cope, yet also capable enough to see that this was going to happen a mile off.

Ultimately we have no control outside of the school gates. That falls on the parents and kids themselves, and all the measures we put in place can only mitigate as best we can.

Do you not think a profession with a huge recruitment crisis might not have already thought about these things generally before Cov-ID. I can’t see the added ‘incentive’ of you may die being a seller to be honest.

No one does, but unless someone gets a grip on what is happening I can’t see anything else but it happening, although I wouldn’t expect it to last anywhere near as long as before.

I see your point, but we have safety restrictions in school and the government have already lost control of the testing situation and can’t keep on top of it. Take them away and you will give the virus even more opportunity to spread and no plan to measure how bad it gets.
