    Cov fans in the wild.

Earlier this week in Dubai I was asked whether I supported Liverpool or Manchester United, I said neither and stated that I was a Coventry City supporter and was met with a massive smile. Hadji, Chippo, Safri he said. i surmised he was Moroccan.

    Cov fans in the wild.

Is that what the finding of your research concluded? Personally I wear something sky blue everyday in one form or another but not on my feet so I buck the trend in that respect, the rest guilty as charged....

    Points to survive

Oh people would post, nothing gets them more animated that a good moan. Interesting post btw and my take on surival points is that as long as we take care of our results we shouldn’t be bothered by how many points it takes. If we focus on Forest or Derby or indeed any of the teams in the mix...

    Points to survive

Even If we finish just outside the bottom three we are 4 places advanced on 19-20 and still in the championship so yes it’s a bigger achievement. It may not be rewarded with a trophy but it gives you a chance to continue the progress the following season and build upon. When you consider the...

Can’t blame Wolves, he was not progressing with us. Good luck to the lad and thanks for your service.

One of the first chants I heard from the West End was to the tune of the first Noel. Noel Noel, Noel, Noel, that is the name of that bastard Cantwell. From our own supporters. He got a rough deal that’s for sure because he was not Jimmy Hill.

Once Cantwell was in place it took us until 16th December to win a game, the 5-1 thrashing of Burnley which coincided with the return of Bobby Gould, who scored three,to the team then we had three wins on the trot in end of Jan/ February and then four more wins by mid April but didn’t win in the...

Apparently he was looked at when Busby did retire after coming back when McGuiness was fired. They decided on Frank O Farrell but it was suggested that Cantwell had turned it down, no dea if that was the case, with us going in to Europe.

There is a bit of background to Cantwells appointment. He was Captain of Manchester United up to and including their league Championship win in 67, a few months before he joined us and was keen to go into management. He was part of the West Ham team with John Bond and Malcolm Allison and Frank...

I don’t believe that managers in those days paid much attention to such win percentages and would he have been overly concerned with such a statistic when he was leaving the front line to go to another industry albeit covering football? Surely he had enough goodwill in the bank from promotions...

    West Mids clubs in PL

I hear you. Now go to the Valley on the last game of the season in 2008 and we have stunk the place out and stayed up and Leicester have been relegated to division three. Do you think that any Leicester fan would have thought that in eight years they would win the Premier League in their wildest...

That is correct, he handed over to Noel Cantwell, at the Spurs game at Highfield Road on the pitch.

I do find it strange that you hold Robins to account for our struggles but don’t acknowledge that he has been very successful to date and continues to improve the standing of the club. You, like others, seem to get off on our losing games and even phases of play during games. There is absolutely...

I am not advocating a statue nor am I saying Robins is the best manager, I believe he is the best manager for us. Time will tell if you are correct.

What I make it is we were in a desperate situation as a team and club and now we have moved up two divisions and I for one am glad we have a manager who has the respect and support of the owners and that it is mutual. The alternative doesn’t need spelling out.

Not denying that. I understand that you are not appreciative of the work that Robins has done and as I said to other chap, it’s an opinion that I think is misguided. Our club is built on a house of cards and the main reason it is still standing is our manager. The continual bile aimed in his...

It is an opinion but here’s an alternative to your hate filled view. We were at the lowest ebb when Robins took over, he had a few weeks and a close season to rebuild a losing culture, a club with death written all over it. We may have been the big fish but were not a big team. We endured the...
