    Match??jeffers??wilson?

And what happens if we play one of the kids and they have a nightmare, maybe missing a sitter? It happened to ROD and it destroyed him; Christie and Gael now look like terrified rabbits in the headlights were they were once cocky young things, strutting their stuff. If we are to give a younger...

    James McPake

It was more like 3 terrible games, tbf. As far as McPake is concerned-he was my favourite player when he was fit, but that was about 2 years ago now. Based on what I've seen of him this season, he is now effectively an ex-footballer. I think he'd struggle in The Masters.

My thoughts on things (New Member)

If he was getting more praise than he deserved last season, I'd say he's getting more stick that he doesn't now than he got undeserved praise then (if that makes sense). I'm pretty amazed that nobody understands the concept of morale; when things continually go bad, heads drop. When you fail...

My thoughts on things (New Member)

Yeah, we should just bring a player like Carlton Cole or a winger off the bench and change our shape..oh, wait, we've only got 2 strikers worth picking, and not a single natural wide-man in the squad!

The greatest Premier League goal ever

I seem to remember he generally scored for QPR against us (as did Wayne Feraday), but wasn't as good at Chelsea. Although he had one mega-prolific year there I think. What happened to him? I'm sure he was forging a career as an eloquent and cerebral pundit (like the anti-Kamara), but he seems to...

The greatest Premier League goal ever

Gotta be Hadji versus Arsenal...made up for all the lack of tracking back that did. Magical strike. Chippo scored a blinder in the cup..was it Burnley?

    Richard Keys tonight 15 Dec

Again, rather than conspiracy, I'm inclined to think that they are now just pretty determined and steadfast in the contempt they hold the fans in. They think "all they do is moan, they aren't grateful..and what's it to them? We are the owners. In no other business do the customers make such...

Don't expect anything other than low-brow one liners from the poster above yours, mate!

The greatest Premier League goal ever

Gavin Peacock, there's a name to conjure with...he had one particularly prolific season if I remember correctly. Hey-day was probably pre-Prem, maybe?

Who would you like to be are next manager?

That's Martin "Mad Dog" Allen, and I'd say no, precisely because he is literally mad! Lee Clarke would never leave Huddersfield for us. They have a bigger wage budget, a superb chairman, and a much greater chance of being in The Championship in the next few years (never mind next) than us.

Who would you like to be are next manager?

Awesome at Macclesfield and MK Dons, never really stood a chance at Blackburn, bit ropey at Notts C. Not sure, seems to be into a bit of a downward spiral. Gotta admit though, I heard all of the Five Live show and he did in general impress me with the way he speaks about the game. Seemed to have...

    Richard Keys tonight 15 Dec

I've got no axe to grind with the chap and I hope that he's right, but it doesn't really seem like he has any new information. This is no different to the previous Hoff/SISU stand-off. I can't help but feel that Keys is just generating the usual sensationalist, self-publicising hyperbole that...

Who would you like to be are next manager?

I don't want AT to be sacked and I don't think replacing him will keep us up, but to pluck a name from a hat..Jim Magilton. Had a few very good seasons at Ipswich. He'll probably get the NI job, though (unless Dowie pips him to it).

    Conor Thomas

I wouldn't call him lacking intelligence, but maybe short on composure. He can certainly tackle, but I have grave concerns about his positioning. He sits too deep, doesn't get tight to his man in defensive situations and doesn't know when to go wide in this formation. He's capable of some decent...

Ken Dulieu Will be gone by Friday,May even be tomorrow

Ken as a captain of the good ship Sky Blues is pretty much deliberately steering us on to the rocks, with a manic cackle as he goes. Frankly, letting the wheel just spin and the ship go where it may is probably much safer than having a man at the helm who is hell-bent on self destruction.

Chris Dunn...a warning from Northampton Town

Firstly, if Quirke was so great, where is he now? Has he been snapped up by another club? Or has he got a job in the real world? Secondly, I'm pretty sure Thorn was intending to make other signings. He was promised the same budget as Boothroyd had last season, but that didn't materialise. As...

    Deegan?

Yeah, but he hasn't-that's the reason he still isn't figuring. Just forget about Freddy Eastwood, he's history to us. As for Deegan-he was great for 1 1/2 games, and since has been abject. He's out of the side on merit, so to speak. And Platt is hardly being ostracised: he's started...

    Caption Competition...

"Steven,I like you...you're an ex-copper, I'm an ex-copper...how do you fancy a crack at managing the first team?" "Sod off Ken, I'm not that stupid!"

    Richard Keys tonight.

I'm mega-sceptical, of course...but it does sound encouraging. Any glimmer of hope is something, I suppose. But then, the fact that he's reserving the option to, what sounds like, somehow blackmail SISU, well that perhaps implies that there is one hell of a long way to go yet in "negotiations".
