Apology is his, and is, I think, fulsome and sincere. Time to give him a chance, and let’s see what he does with it.

    Season Tickets

It’s great to see how many people on this forum are buying season tickets to support MR and the team, or are stating their intention to attend as many home games as possible. I wish this was replicated across all social media, but this doesn’t seem to be the case, unfortunately. I live near...

    Six fields v St Andrews.

I live near Newcastle, and mostly attend away games, with the occasional home game. I will definately attend more home games this season, in solidarity with the team, and the supporters that continue to support our team.

I do feel the same way - still in denial about Highfield Road! I would like to start over again, but it may be that playing at the Ricoh is the only viable long term solution.

    Some Boddy Is Furious

The Times quote is ‘Coventry will have to lodge a £1 million bond with the EFL as a guarantee that they will return to the Coventry area the season after next’. Of course, the Times could be wrong... If that is, however, the guarantee, then it’s very interesting.

    Some Boddy Is Furious

In the Times this morning, it states that the bond is to ensure that Coventry City return to Coventry to fulfill fixtures for the season after this one.

Club Statement regarding EFL vote and stadium situation

I read Shmmeee’s post and I wonder why I immediately thought that Grendel would be the very next poster. I’m very often wrong but this was nailed on! Predictable or what?

    Back your football club

Good for you. To me, it’s not the players fault, they will still be playing for our club, and if people can afford the extra cost of watching our home matches at a groundshare, and can physically make the journey, then why not support the team?

    The Council

Surely if SISU’s complaint is upheld, they won’t receive cash, it will just mean that the selling price of the Ricoh was too low, which may have ramifications for Wasps/CCC, and may be beneficial in the long run for CCFC?

    The Council

And if it is found that something was wrong with the sale, what’s wrong with SISU winning?

Your Bad Days At A Match

I think this was the game, 15 April 1969. A Tuesday night, so I got home really late. It was a 1-1 draw, with City’s goal scored by the late, great, Ernie Hunt. It couldn’t have been later than this, as I left Cov with my family, in December 1969.

Your Bad Days At A Match

I was on this train as a 13 year old, but I think (if it’s the same incident) that this would be 1967/68? My Mum gave me hell the next day, although I had nothing to do with the trouble.

Match Thread Peterborough United vs. Coventry City Match Thread - Saturday 16th Mar

I don’t think anyone minds criticism when it’s warranted, and particularly if it’s balanced, and perhaps constructive. Some of the comments after the Burton game were totally over the top. I’m a supporter of Burge, as I am every player in a Sky Blue shirt, it doesn’t mean I don’t recognise when...

    New keeper?

I do think that if O’Brien was fit, giving Burge a rest tomorrow night might not be a bad idea. There may well be a pretty toxic approach to Burge tomorrow, which won’t help him or the team.

    New keeper?

Agree with this post, as a number of posters have. Very few are saying that Lee Burge is the finished article, most recognise that he has weaknesses, lack of control of his penalty area, some rash decision making, poor kicking, and, crucially, a lack of confidence (it would appear) that may well...
